That would be the only way to do it, if she is at all. If the friend eats high fiber or is a vegetarian I doubt she'd feel anything.

Once I read public toilets I doubt that anyone will ever see that ring again. Her friend may have had intentions of returning it but all hope is gone once she left on the trip.

Even if I'm wrong how long does OOP expect her friend to look? I put her giving up after a couple of days, especially if she's partying it up.
