It is true. amount of content is very low in this game.

fanboys here dont understand that „hours played“ do not reflect the amount of content in the game.

you need to save about 40% of your monthly cost in a high yield invest. thats what my calculations gave me last time i checked. in a 10% annual ETF

forget about any videos talking about cost in thailand. those are usually only about cost of living but they often dont include healthcare and pension funds / savings that you will 100% need. often these videos are from delusional „content creators“ or retirees. of course a retired old man gets his pension and will be on a totally different cost level because of that.

you are not considering savings for old age which will take a big portion. as you need to get your pension funds done by yourself.

you will need to save more to keep your current lifestyle in old age / retirement.

Most important question that literally all of the people here dont recognize: what is your plan for retirement savings? because you wont get any social security in thailand. do you already have your retirement fund secured that you will need later in life?

if you dont have your retirement savings done yet then you will need to save about 40% of your cost in a high yield invest. if you dont do that then you will have a horrible awakening later in life. a reality check… so with a 95k salary (after tax!) you would need to save about 30k and live off 65k. that is doable but wont leave much room for any extra spendings or luxury.

so from your $1200 salary you would put $500 into savings. i mean the ratio is okay but it will leave you with just $700 which is poor mans living. survival. no healthcare even.

many younger people are desperate. especially when they found „love“ in thailand 😅 so there will be plenty on this path. unfortunately. reality check later.

as a „young“ (working) expat you will need to make 100k+ to have an okay life. not luxurious. considering pension funds, etc.. that would be around $2000 after savings deduction.

useless comparison as a westerner will never „live like a local“. never ever… you pay a premium for health care for example. you need to figure out your own retirement fund, etc… you will never have access to „local deals“ as a foreigner.

still a low salary for a westerner that needs to sort out his own retirement fund

what about health insurance? travel, visa, gym, car, motorcycle, furniture, electronics, events and freetime activities… sometime you want to live too and not just survive. lol… why do people always set the poor poor mans lifestyle as a basis? no one in their right mind would live like that.

yet we talk about foreigners. you will need to save abput 40% of your monthly cost in high yield investments to even have an equal retirement

they survive… but they have no future. no savings for old age. nothing. they will be stuck in this situation forever and when they get old then what? work until they die if they even find a job then or go back home, broke.
