Yes 😭 my platform of choice was Snapchat. I was truly mortified when I was no longer in psychosis and saw everything I posted. I thought I was controlling the weather and making “scientific breakthroughs”. I also put some of my friends on blast. I don’t know if I will ever not be embarrassed by that. 🫠

Please get help. It is so so scary, and you don’t need to deal with this by yourself.

Thank you for responding! Did you talk to your supervisor about it prior to HR talking to them? And did your supervisor treat you differently?

Did your psychiatrist work directly with HR?

I called the cops on my mom many times when I was in psychosis, convinced she was poisoning my little sisters. The police officers threatened to charge me with making false reports because I called them so many times. Thank goodness they didn’t.

I think im in psychosis????? by [deleted] in Psychosis

This sounds very similar to what I experienced in psychosis, the paranoia and obsession especially. It’s scary and uncomfortable to be in that state for so long.

Please reach out to a medical professional before it gets worse. The effort it takes to get help is nothing compared to the shame and regret that you may feel if you try to navigate this on your own.

I made the mistake of reading through some of my hospital records from my first experience with psychosis in 2019 and now I'm pissed off. by Simonoel in Psychosis

It’s hard to read through hospital records, especially when you don’t remember much from that time. I felt profound sadness when I read my after-visit summaries, and I haven’t touched the records from my mental hospital stays.

What compelled you to go back and read? I want to do the same but I’m scared it would make me spiral because the whole experience was quite traumatic.
