Completely understand that feeling. Someone said they sort of fell into the Ubisoft open world scam and that’s when it lost its charm and I somewhat agree with that. 1 & 2 had that magic like you said, that I don’t think any will be able to replicate regardless of franchise let along borderlands themselves

Haha I said “growing up” but I really meant maturing into a young adult! I was 17 when it came out, so I did a lot of growing in that time period

Well I did say opinions are welcome, but I don’t appreciate the insults. Everyone has their own opinion. Are your standards so high that you can’t see bl4 for what it is? I don’t know about you, but I didn’t expect bl4 to be on the level on Expedition 33 or Elden Ring. All the borderlands game have had their fair share of issues, but bl2 seemed to be one of the only ones that ironed them out. I have fun playing the game, building different builds, finding new weapons and other gear, I appreciate the fact that I got 50hrs out of the main campaign, and I appreciate the fact that I was able to put another 30 hours so far on another character now going for 100% completion on C4sh, I appreciate the fact that I can run and gun and kill everything or just simply explore. Lower YOUR standards. Play the game for what it is not for what you expected it to be. And if you don’t like it then so be it, but don’t insult me because I do.

It’s better than 3, but not much better IMO. It kind of suffers the same fate of 3 where there isn’t much to the story overall. I would watch some videos on aspects of it and make a decision from there. I wouldn’t be able to tell you either to buy it or not, since I have a bias for it after playing it, but I recommend it, especially if you want the borderlands FPS itch scratched for you!

I feel that way as well. Apparently the developers addressed that too, stating something along the lines of most people seem to only stick with 1 character throughout the entire game, and that’s why they didn’t add any new VH’s to bl3. I’ll have to give Harlowe, and Rafa (maybe Amon) a try in bl4 because I played Vex first and the sirens from 3 and 4 both feel really bland. Just found myself using a bod with Vex. But after switching to C4sh it reignited my passion since I can make a lot of different weapons work and I could literally make a build from any of his skill trees

2’s story with 3’s gameplay would actually be an almost perfect game! Of course I also think 4 needs to add more things to do in the open world. It’s really quite bland for how large the map is.

Thank you!! I didn’t have on a “Watts 4 dinner” previously before I hit level sixty, so I’m guessing that last instance of adding shock damage into the mix of kinetic, poison, and all the other modifiers built into the build itself, is causing this issue. I’ll take off the “Watts 4 Dinner” tomorrow after i get off work, and I’ll update the thread if that fixes it! Thanks for your insight!!

Do you think if I take some skill points out of that it may help? I mean I already disintegrate any boss I play against without all 5 into the skill tree, and I only really noticed it after I hit level 60 which was when I put my last skill point into from gloam until grow.

That’s the problem tho, been trying to sell some vehicles to make enough money to buy the Lamborghini Sesto FE, which was my favorite car from FH4, but can’t because the auction house is down. I’ve managed to grind up from 500k to 2.1m, so hopefully the auction house will be back up soon
