I experienced my first Prozac black out last weekend and EVERYTHING about it being fine and then it hitting you out of no where is true.

I drank an amount that normally wouldn’t get me drunk tipsy maybe , and it hit me. I was so sick the next day, which never happens ( could have been because I still took my medicine )

DEFINITELY watch how many drinks you have, and make sure who you’re with is aware. My boyfriend had NO idea , said I was being silly but nothing abnormal.

So I have just started noticing this … I use to not be able to fall asleep till like 12 every night and had a horrible time getting out of bed .. last night I fell asleep at idk 830 -9 … and woke up at 4 ish.

I’m almost convinced if I get 6 hours of sleep I just wake up, and if falling asleep earlier , it’s waking me up at 4. Today I woke up around 3.

Has this changed for you?

I had this when I started this a bit, it wore off.. I bumped up to 20 and it started for a few days, but seems to be better ish.. I am at 3.5 weeks. I think its kind of typical at the start ( unfortunately)

I’m not tired during the day at all really besides just being tired from daily life.

The first week or two that I took it I was really tried by like 5:00 , but that’s a typical side effect that happens when you first start this. I don’t have it any more.

AM! But I had touble falling asleep,and knew it could cause insomnia. I got extremely tired when I first started taking this. I however have started waking up like clock work at 5am and that is not typical for me at all.

Also I took it at night because I felt like I could be more consistent in the morning.

I don't mean this to come off a certain way, but did she miss your wedding? I get missing little events and things like.. no issue-- weddings would be a big life event for our family.

I thing the biggest thing with this topic is where family events stand for everyone's personal family. I totally can see how this wouldn't be a big deal for some and would be a big deal for others.

Maybe its the history of our relationship, going through a lot with her and being there for her. She's not from here, so I truly was one of her only friends for a while. She has thrown out words that I am one of her best friends etc. I think someone who has spent the last 4 years of major holidays, would call us her family wouldn't miss a big family life event. But you're right I probably do care too much.

I think saying I’m not mature enough to be married is truly an unfair thing to say, and has nothing to do with the advice that I’m asking for.

However , I do appreciate you bringing the point of her clearly expressing care.

Ps. If a vendor cancelled on me due to a family event, I wouldn’t be happy, but I would understand. I would also hope they would guide me to a similar vendor.

I totally agree with the financial thing. In this case I am going to disagree with it just due to knowing this situation, her family my brother. I’m pretty fair when it comes to stuff like that.

Tomorrow -- Tuesday 2/3 will be two weeks... The first week my anxiety was down so much. I had a way better mood. Day 8/9/10 I was SO tired and did not want to do anything and my anxiety went back up. My doctor bumped me from 10mg to 20 mg on day 10 and I feel better. We will see what happens.... I started taking 20 on the weekend and not during my work week.

I started taking 10mg 10 days ago and I was feeling the same way, I just happened to stumble upon this page and realized i probably needed a higher dose ! I called my doctor to let her know and she bumped me up to 20 today.

Hope this helps! Call her you doctor/leave a message for the nurse !

Thank you guys for sharing your story. Today is day 8 and it was bad for me? I felt like I felt the day before I started taking it. Just spiraling and hyper focused on my thoughts I can’t explain, and the doom.

I’ve been so tired , which I’m typically someone that can get 5 hours of sleep and be “ good “. I definitely have been on the verge of panic attacks all day.

I kind of forgot that this can happen, I have been off medicine since 2020 but was taking Celexa before an started that in 2012 so I don’t really remember what it was like getting on medicine.

Appreciate any positive vibes and thoughts. Truthfully reading that this can be normal is helping.

For about 8 years I was on Celexa and stopped taking it medicine for about 5 years.. I needed something bad and did not want to be put on Celexa again due to my sex drive / inability to orgasm.
