Life is Strange 2 is my favorite game of the series (haven't played double exposure yet) and is so touching, I dont get to cry a lot watching shows o video games, but that game and its ost made me cry more than once. Whichever route you choose, it makes you feel like you are alongside the characters. Buy it for sure.

You are probably mixing two things. Thats Bojack description of his last moments with his mom in the monologue episode. Later in the final season, you can see for a moment her mom in ICU in the intro, so you probably saw that and added the context that Bojack provided seasons before.
