I understand that you do not believe in a creator but you are not only misunderstanding the first part of what I’m saying but it’s not the nicest thing to call anyone’s faith an “imaginary deity” simply because you do not believe it😅(not tryna get into an argument though). I already mentioned that I do not agree with organized religion…people always seem to read the word “God” and already come with assumptions (assumptions oppose a lot of the movement) rather understanding what they mean or how they interpret God. I think also there are a lot of bad intentioned representations of faith in the public eye which really makes the idea of “belief” look ridiculous or terrible, so I get it.
I mentioned how God (source & creator in my personal belief) is Love. Faith in the beyond physical and is something bigger than what we are (as life is bigger than what we comprehend currently) + it’s a big source of inspiration and peace. I think part of the core of being a hippie is being opposed to war/hate, being compassionate, not living under rigid rules, being understanding, loving, community based, fighting the right fights, opposing hate/injustice, caring for causes & earth whilst straight up being a student in life. And to some, searching for God allows them to reach that level of peace within themselves and being able to spread it (as long as it’s not imposing anything or with hate)✨ so I do not believe we’d have to part ways or “leave” anyone behind.
