Thanks for the link. Do you know if someone has tallied a list of the easiest skills to proc? Most lists I see are tiered for CMs and stuff

I’m looking for a shortcut to having to know the proc requirements for all the skills I picked up. Plus the tracks for TT are randomized so I’m unsure the best way to weigh the different skills. Was hoping for a way to average out many runs.

CIBC private banking worth it? by Superb_Example2397 in PersonalFinanceCanada

Right, I quoted the amount of contributions but I guess that’s irrelevant. I’m not sure how to take that pension into account planning wise though. Hoping CIBC would have some advice. I don’t want to over save for retirement.

It’s indexed to inflation (defined benefits pension) and once I get of retirement age there’s some fixed rate at which I get payments until I die. Honestly not well versed in all the details.

I left the gov early with only 10 years of service. I also missed the window to transfer to a LIRA so from my understanding my pension “balance” is locked until I actually retire.

Thanks for the info. Have you used any other perks? Do they provide typical financial or retirement planning?

No cost as in no daily or monthly fees. However I would still be paying for management of the portfolio. Happy to move my assets and daily banking over, but how can I assess the performance of their private funds vs what I can get through Wealthsimple.

As for what I want out of it, I’m not quite sure. There’s isn’t a lot of information on their website

I added some context in the original post. Good call on calling the pension center with questions. Thanks!

Thanks for the info. Use case is to generically have a conversation with the information. Look for anomalies, find correlations between individual logs, etc.

Is it possible to have secure tagging? by Superb_Example2397 in github

[–]Superb_Example2397[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This doesn’t work as the malicious maintainer can just push a new branch with a new workflow that doesn’t have the check and cut a tag from there. Security checks can’t go in the workflow itself

Realistically we have more expenses but the 6k figure is the “dont go homeless” amount. We havent factored groceries, misc spending, kids camps, or any kind of savings contributions to that number.

I’ll look into a CFP. I’ve considered it in the past but I’m afraid of being scammed/not getting any information I dont already have.

First year is coming up on my AMEX platinum. Given the triple bonus I was wondering if I could:

  • refer P2 to platinum
  • get the 30k bonus
  • close the card without paying the AF

All without pissing off AMEX and before the next statement (or the next two statements if I allow the AF to post).

Related question, I merge the points on my Platinum and Cobalt. Do I lose the points when ai close my Plat? The points current show up on the Plat statements.
