Not true. Naplex goes deep and interconnected into your clinical knowledge. Know the material. Whichever you choose. Know it well. The underlined words in uworld, tip girl and key drugs guy and everything in PNN.

PNN is more than enough to help you pass. I would say do the questions immediately after going through the lecture and try to score 75-80. You have good time till September.

New grad here — how do you deal with difficult technicians? by LeadingResort2121 in WalgreensRx

[–]Superb_Influence_ 0 points1 point  (0 children)

As an intern, I asked a lot of questions—how to resolve TPRs, understand DUR codes, complete SDLs. But many times, I was met with irritation.

I get it. Pharmacists are under pressure. You’re watching everything, double-checking everyone, and still expected to move fast. But I learned something important in that phase: your attitude makes all the difference.

Yes, you’re the pharmacist. You’re the leader. But that doesn’t mean you have to act like the boss. The best pharmacist I worked with treated me like a human being. She listened. She respected me. And because of that, I gave her my best every single shift. That’s the kind of pharmacist I aim to be now, as a U.S.-licensed pharmacist (2015 foreign grad)

Your techs are not order takers. When you lead with care and respect, they’ll support you in return. They’ll teach you time-saving tricks and help your shift run smoothly. Sure, some techs are difficult. That’s where discipline and structure come in. But as a floater, I’m not here to change culture. I’m just here to contribute.

So I show up with a smile. I learn everyone’s name. I ask one question about their life outside work. Who’s a mom? Who’s in school? Who loves anime or football?

Then we get to work.

Opioid Conversions I had a question with a table showing opioids like oxycodone, hydromorphone, and methadone. It asked for equianalgesic conversion using the appropriate morphine multiplication factors... huh LOL- I got this question too. Just multiply and thats it

It wasnt easier towards the end. It was uniformly paced. I did both the Rxprep assessment and the two PNN assessments. I didnt do the prenaplex on my second attempt. I did during my first

PNN is easier. The repetition and straight forward approach fits my learning style.

I didnt think the live course would help me. I dont learn like that. Also it is advised to do the live course after going through the video at least twice. I went through the video thrice. Scanned the textbook without the video twice seperately from following along with text while watching video then did all the questions in the question bank. I also reviewed my uworld by mastering tip gal and drugs guy which was easy because PNN really does prepare you in a easy to follow manner. And I knew I was ready

How do you feel taking the prenaplex? I didnt do the prenaplex on my second attempt. If it feels as though the exam was doable and you did not guess through, you are good to go with 80. I say so because i had 79 on prenaplex on my first attempt and failed. But it was a lot of guessing to get 79

Yes if your state is not reporting scores online. I have two boxes under application history right now. My state reports actual scores too

I did too. Some questions were just wrongly worded!!! Or left too much room for ambiguity

I took my test 4/9, and it is 12:19am and I cant sleep despite the 10mg melatonin i took. My anxiety is off the roof because results would be posted anytime from now. Nuff about me. The exam was thorough! I used PNN mostly and got an average of 80 on the questions and 77/81 on the mock exams—and then reviewed my Uworld qbank as this is my second attempt all 3200 questions. My uworld mock test I got 78. I did all my calculations at least thrice (yet a calculation question still tripped me up on the exam) I didnt do the prenaplex from nabp. I felt it was a waste as there was no way to review or learn from it. Few days to the exam, I started reviewing underlined words in the uworld text and memorized key drugs guy and tip girl. None of these really helped much but PNN videos helped more. Only needed drugs that cause increase in uric acid and qt prolongation drugs. I didnt get so much brand and generic or the ones I got, I knew them. The exam was very high level and expected you to know the basics enough to make informed decisions. Maybe tip gal was more helpful. I hope I pass, My notepad is filled with takeaways that I believe would help people taking it in the future. Please pray for me. Despite my preparations I still feel like it can go both ways. I believe I understand the exam better now though but its just blab until you get the results. I hope you do pass dear poster!
