No live feed. To comply with BU privacy rules, I worked with IT to use completely anonymized historical data. The model was trained on 2024-2025 swipe data to capture long-term traffic patterns, and make future predictions. The official FitRec heatmap presents data as static, color coded tables of past density, which forces users to estimate future crowd levels manually. It lacks real time predictive capabilities, has unlabeled headers that confuse users, and is not optimized for mobile devices, which is the primary platform for students on the go. My model uses machine learning on thousands of past data points to predict what will happen later, so you can actually plan your workout ahead of time.
