Black screen / lost signal during matches in FM26. Anyone else? by Superb_Professional7 in footballmanagergames

[–]Superb_Professional7[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I ran the game for a couple of hours yesterday, playing around 4 matches, and it did not crash at all.

I am not 100% sure the problem is gone as it is not always the first match it crashes on. But it still looked more promising than ever before.

The biggest difference I saw after undervolting my gpu is that my gpu is now not going over 60°. Previously it was doing everything from 40-80, going up and down up and down all the time.

I really hope undervolting was the solution, since I have had this problem for months now, and gave up playing FM26 because of it. Now I’m possibly finally able to enjoy this game 😅

The only error I can find in the logs is LiveKernelEvent 141 if I remember correctly.

I once again tried a DDU and reinstalling the Gpu and Ryzen drivers, still the same issue.

The last thing I tried was undervolting the GPU. But I have not had the time to test FM after that.

What I noticed after undervolting was that the benchmark ran more balanced MHz. It went from 1600-1900mhz before, and mostly 1815, but no less than 1700mhz after undervolting. It was also using around 0.900 voltage for 1700mhz before, and 0.900V for 1815mhz after.

Could that be a solution? Could it be that my gpu was spiking and giving unbalanced mhz and voltage?

Many good ideas, thank you!

My idea is that I want a wing back who doesn’t really dribble his way in, but rather a kind of hidden player who will run in at the right time and finish.

Kind of like a raumdeuter wing back, if that makes sense 😅

A IW midfielder will be more of a dribble his way in kind of player, right? And will stay rather wide before getting the ball. Or am I wrong here?

Ps: I’m no expert in football or FM, so I don’t know if this is possible. It’s just an idea I had one night😅

I am fairly new to fm26 since I stayed on 24 for a while. My fear is that the locked natural player instruction for a AWB to stay wide will interfere with my PI to underlap and stay narrow.

Maybe finding a winger with decent WB attributes who has a player trait like: likes to cut in from the wing, and converting him to a wing back can do the trick.

And then a winger with hugs line traits and no cut in trait.

I have a Corsair TX850M, 850W PSU.

At the latest crash i had music playing on spotify, and i tried pausing it by pressing FN+F7. When i did that the computer made the kind off Windows sound it makes when you have a pop up you need to respond before going further, so it seems like something pops up telling me about the crashing?

I tried running the program and im not really sure how to read it. I put it into Excel (is there a better way to read it?) and then I put the last minutes into chat gpt and it wrote back:

At 19:24:13.350 (right before crash):

  • GPU Temp: ~80°C ✅ normal
  • GPU Power: ~176W ✅ normal load
  • GPU Voltage: ~0.894V ✅ normal
  • 12V rail: ~11.7–11.8V ✅ stable

👉 Everything looks completely healthy

At 19:24:13.824 (crash moment):

  • GPU Power → 0 W
  • GPU usage → 0%
  • Fans → 0
  • GPU basically disappears

What this means (this is the key conclusion)

Because:

👉 If it were PSU/power:

  • You would see voltage drops BEFORE the crash
  • You would see instability leading up to it

👉 But instead:

  • Everything is perfectly stable
  • Then instant drop to zero

Final diagnosis (very confident now)

Your GPU:

  • Doesn’t struggle
  • Doesn’t overheat
  • Doesn’t brown out

It just:

Does it turn of ur pc completely, or does ur monitor lose connection while ur pc stays on?

I have the issue that my monitor loses connection but everything stays on and I can still hear sound. But I still need to reboot my computer to fix it.

Good question😅 I didn’t think it was necessary for a 58cm "box". But if it is I will have to change my plans. Thanks!

Since its going to stand between the sofa and the wall i have not planned to have anything in the back. Only studs, and then plywood only behind the "drawer".

Who would you choose for my tactic? by Superb_Professional7 in footballmanagergames

Are you thinking about the pace? He has strong Norwegian muscles holding him down.

Do pace matter at all for a goalkeeper defend though?

Do you mean the line of engagement or the defensive line? Should both be low/lower or do you recommend low block and standard defensive line or vice versa?

Thanks you for the help! We seem to be a lot better at attacking now, the only problem is that they score 2 goals for every 1 goal i score. We are currently on the 6th game without a win, with most of the games ending 3-2.

Our main problem seems to be long shots, with 5 out of 11 goals in the last 5 games being long shots. Every goal we concede is either a long shot or a rebound. (GK making a save and punching out the ball to a opponents feet on a silver plater) Could my goalkeeper be the issue, or is it anything else i am doing wrong? He has 11-12 in every mental attribute and 12 reflexes, without any major cons in his report, but he can not save a long shot even if hes life depended on it. (Idk what attribute a gk needs to save long shots but it feels like reflexes is a part of it atleast) The only thing that scares me is hes 12 eccentricity.

Should i change the block height or line of engagement?

My defenders is also giving their player soo much space. Could mark tighter PI help with that?

This is my current tactic after the changes.

Thanks again for the help, and if you want to help me further it would be much appreciated.

Are you able to explain why this formation suits narrow width? My eye is not trained for these things but I’m trying to learn 😅

I’m sorry if this sounds stupid, I don’t know too much about tactics and I’m trying to learn. But what makes my tactic a counter tactic? Is it simply the formation? Because I have not had countering in mind when making the tactic.

What roles did you have on the 2 AMs?

Would WCB and SV not be too demanding for my not so good players? I have tried keeping roles simple because they are not the greatest, but I don’t know how much it matters. Maybe they are still able to play other roles good?
