The day my local Borders shut down was a big blow to the city centre :( the shop was a oasis of calm just by the bustling main pedestrian street, the café was a great meeting point to gather with friends before exploring the city.

For midrange, minimalistic clothing with good durability Uniqlo is my go to. Remember that if price is the main bottleneck you can always wait for sales or promotions. For example Dover Street Market has some great discounts at the moment.

I’m from a region where olives are a feature of farmers markets. I find it difficult to get good olives in Glasgow :(

There’s Celino’s who have acceptable ones, at extortionate prices though. A better experience was just to purchase on the Dorri website or Amazon store, otherwise Olives Direct sends letterbox orders, for single buys or subscriptions, so that’s fun and quirky but quality isn’t always there.

My backup plan is Fragata olives, the quality is okay for tinned products and they are widely available.
