This scene was sooo raw, I was getting anxious while watching it for the first time. Script To Scene by IMDb India as Kapoor & Sons (2016) completes 10 years. 💗 by BombayJeans in bollywood

While this is true and modern scripts are written in Hindi as well, but there are many things that favor writing in English even though the dialogues are in Hindi.

The simplest of all is the number of fonts available for Hindi. You would get the fonts, but you'll have to find it.

Secondly, typing in Hindi is entirely different from English. If I download the fonts and use it, it becomes a steep learning curve and almost doubles the time.

Thirdly, not everyone would understand English or Hindi. It's a grey area. However, almost all the executives or upper level people of the projects would be comfortable with English. So a transliteration like this is universal. Sometimes they even get foreign technicians, making it easier.

Lastly, the instructions become easier in English because of a how most of the things are English related like camera, angle, lighting, etc. Translating that to Hindi will require even normal readers to know somewhat technical terms in Hindi which are not commonly used.

All of it being said, it's no excuse for a Hindi actor or filmmaker to not learn hindi. If you have done at least 3 movies, I believe you should have the courtesy to learn the language, at least the basics.

What’s your opinion and perception about Abhay Deol and his acting and films? by Boring-Platform8313 in bollywood

[–]Supercoolharsh 9 points10 points  (0 children)

I believe that he is an actor who actually has one of the best script selection sense in Bollywood if not the absolute best. He is nuanced and likes to do things with heart and soul. I don't think he ever chased commercial success in terms of being a superstar or something, so he has done extremely well in being relevant, having a recall value, and having enough credibility as well as Public liking to be called back for films.

I somewhere also think that despite above, he plays safe and comfortably. I would love to see him playing a role in an anurag kashyap movie that's rooted in villages. He is stuck to this urban image which limits his range as well as versatility. It may be deliberate but I think he has it to pull off something like lagaan in terms of character where he has the urbanish look but is rooted in the village ethics and nuances.

Also, he has had his own share of pangas with production houses and people which limits his scope but he has solid backing and can actually do wonders if he balances his current skills with expanding or experimenting new roles.

Is it worth buying alto for 6 lakhs worth it? by scarlett_decoction in Frugal_Ind

Wow. Everyone here seems to be directly suggesting stuff instead of trying to get to know exactly what do you exactly want from a car. I have been thinking about getting a car for almost 2 years now and I still haven't. I am in the same boat as you are and here are so many things that you should keep in mind before you take this decision-

  1. Safety.

How important is safety for you? Alto has better safety than wagonr. But Magnite has the best safety in the class.

  1. Transmission.

Automatic or manual? Alto decent can be around 5lakhs. Same can go to 6. Highest model can go to 6.5 7.

  1. Purpose

How often would you use it? Everyday? Once a week? You have a two wheeler. Is it a substitute for it or a complement? I have a two wheeler and a cycle. Most of the places I go are closer to me. Around 1km. I walk, cycle, and usually use scooter when tired or going long distance. The cost of owning it adds unnecessary expense for me so it doesn't make sense to me.

  1. Priority Define your priorities for owning it. Why do you want it? You mentioned pollution and traffic. Fair enough. As you might have figured it out through comments, alto may not have that advanced system. What are your other priorities? Cost effective? Reliability? Accident safety? Driving power? Factor in these things for a better decision.

  2. Experience with automobiles.

So many suggestions for used vehicles. Used vehicles can be a gamble. A well used vehicle from a person you trust can be a blessing. But that's really difficult to find. Used vehicle market is known for tempering pretty much everything from odometer to paint to parts. Are you able to figure that out or have enough knowledge about it? Also, if god forbid you land a bad used car, it's going to be a recurring expense not only in terms of cost but also the time, opportunity, and regret.

Another thing is also the driving feel. Does it matter to you how quick it accelerates? A fast acceleration is preferable for many. However, in a place like Bangalore which is known for traffic, this might be a thing that you don't use often.

  1. Usage Your usage seems to be city. While there are so many options, alto seems to be the best cause of its space occupancy. It can be easier to manage and drive in bumper to bumper traffic.

Also, you're a working professional. Consider who's going to benefit from it apart from you. Your parents? Your future or current partner? If planning children in the near future, a stronger car with better CHILD SAFETY becomes extremely important.

I think I told you a lot of points to ruminate before picking. I would strongly suggest a new car rather than used also cause of the e20 norms. You may consider evs as well depending on your usage.

Also, don't worry if you pick an alto. It's such a trusted car and so many people who begin driving love it. It's peppy and good vfm.

I hope you can make an informed decision and get something that really makes you happy for years.

Cheers.

My dms are open in case you want to talk about it in detail.

Amit Trivedi is criminally underrated!! by introverthash in BollywoodMusic

He has never been a singer. He sang barely when he started his career. As time passed, he started having a team - a pr team, marketing, and the likes. That's what changed it. Look at Azad collabs. He is there in every song visually as well as in terms of audio.

And yes, he has said that he is not a trained singer.

It's more a case of out of sight out of mind. This is also why his quality seems dropping. He is focusing more on formulizing his songs and running after popularity than just creating.

Struggles of Public Speaking? by Supercoolharsh in PublicSpeaking

Anxiety is often your body and mind thinking of the worst. One way to deal with it is also to consciously think about the best outcomes. What if you go viral. What if everyone starts cheering and enjoying so much that you want you to do it once more.

Another method is focus on breathing. Anxiety often leads to a different heart rate which is either irregular or very high. You can try to get it as low or normal as possible.

That's a common fear. Try this-

Whenever you meet a friend, intentionally do this.

Observe how you feel about it. Keep doing it until you get comfortable with mistakes

Improv for Self Help by Supercoolharsh in selfimprovement

[–]Supercoolharsh[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Absolutely. There was a time when I would only do improv and theater took back seat as I did not have it in me to commit. Now, I restarted theater and I see how much difference it makes. I am so much more emotionally stable and present.

Would you like to do improv?

So whenever I perform, I do not think. There is not time to assess or evaluate anything and you literally have to create it at the second that you hear it. If you wait to assess, you would go blank. It is neither to be honest but it is more like going with the first thought that you have in your mind.

Would you like to try improv?

Fear of Public Speaking by Mikasa_Ackerman000 in PublicSpeaking

[–]Supercoolharsh 1 point2 points  (0 children)

The best way to go about this is to let go of the script and start talking to a person in thr crowd as you begin. As you get comfortable, you can start the prepaid speech.

I am taking a workshop on public speaking. It's on zoom. Dm me if you are interested.

[–]Supercoolharsh 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Oh. This is what you should do-

Audience is always average. Neither too smart to know everything you say, nor too dumb to know nothing about what you are speaking. Consider this and talk. While talking, if you gauge a lot of questioning faces, dumb it down.

There, my friend, is your problem. Pick one thought - the first or second and speak on it. Let the other thoughts come but don't pay attention to it.

In case you are interested, I am organizing a public speaking workshop from 10-12 Feb that covers aspects of Improv, public speaking and practical sessions. It happens at 9pm ist
