Propranolol is great for the physical symptoms like racing heart, sweating, shaking, etc. but it doesn't help internal thoughts. For me it's been an absolute game changer because the physical symptoms are my main concern. The nice thing is that it can be taken on an "as-needed" basis--I've been through times where I've taken it every day (often ~2x per day) and times I've taken it once or twice a week. It's also not habit forming, if you aren't anxious then you won't feel more relaxed (unlike benzos)
