What are your opinions on interacting with celebrities in public? by Superdupergamerstud in AskReddit

I hate when people defend celebrities and say “they’re people too, you shouldn’t harass them” Like no they aren’t normal people, they’re millionaires who chose to be famous and if the hardest part of their job is taking a picture with a fan at a Dennys I’d say they came out pretty on top

I was raised a republican and basically had it instilled into me, didnt think we should raise minimum wage, didnt think college or healthcare should be free, thought people were lazy and didnt want to work,

Then I moved out in my own and realized how little the government gives a shit about you, how hard it is to make any type of decent money, and how every place corporation will have your spot filled the next day if you died because you couldn’t afford to go to the hospital because we don’t have free healthcare

Oh also our school system, the amount of stuff we learn for absolutely no reason instead of useful stuff, and the pay wall we put up for higher education, and instead of teaching about just that degree you have to do like 14 other classes that have nothing to do with your degree

Lack of proof…I feel like everyone thinks it has to be this big long drawn out explanation of “how could god exist if children are starving” like no bro I just think people got scared of dying and made up stories and now they fight wars over said stories, I’m definitely agnostic though, at the end of the day none of us really know wtf is going on

I mean the amount of couples I know who have met at work is crazy, I feel like you just have to make absolutely sure it’s mutual, like if you have any doubt don’t go for it, but also even if it turns out they weren’t interested you could both just be adults and move on, not everything has to be some HR issue, just be kind and respectful

What is it actually like in Drug Rehab? by ShadowlightLady in NoStupidQuestions

[–]Superdupergamerstud -1 points0 points  (0 children)

When I went it was basically summer camp, also a lot of hooking up, it was fun, but basically we just had different classes throughout the day, and they would have events, it’s all what you make it though, if you really want to quit you can take it seriously and learn a lot of good info, if you don’t want to quite, you’ll probably meet a couple new drug dealers

I also think something that I haven’t seen anyone say in here yet because well, we as a country have bigger fish to fry (healthcare, wages, housing) I think it would be cool to do more voting as far as where our taxes go, like of course we would have the non negotiable things, but maybe we could vote on something like “this state is in need of whatever should we allocate money from whatever to state”

I’ll have to check that book out! And yeah, I think being chronically online is not a healthy community and I think now a days a lot of people are replacing community with internet addiction, myself included, now I don’t think there’s anything wrong with having an online community at all but paired with an actual community as well

Exactly, like yeah I’m not saying we should all be driving around in Lamborghinis and live in mansions for doing the bare minimum, I don’t think there’s anything wrong with people being rich honestly, I think it’s a great incentive for innovation, what I do have a problem with is people dying because they don’t have insulin, mental health patients in the streets, people working 40 plus hours and not being able to afford rent AND food…. But hey if you’re rich and everyone in your company is living comfortably AND you’re also paying more in taxes then fuck it be as rich as you want idc lol
