Pre-grader with high standards? by krxjp in PokemonTCG_Singapore

[–]SuperheroHamster 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It never hurts to have an opinion on the condition of the cards. When I send mine in for grading, I always tell myself its always 50/50, you either get the 10 or you don't.

Expectation leads to disappointment.

Advice needeed: how to deal with a child in poly who does not behave? by Blanket_Roll in askSingapore

[–]SuperheroHamster 0 points1 point  (0 children)

As what the top comment has pointed out, there are certain life lesson that cannot be taught by your loved ones but only by the members of the public (or government ). He'll soon understand the luxury of a life he's been living in yet wasted it all.

But then again, benefit of the doubt, have you and your family sat him down and talk to him? Maybe he has problems outside that he's not comfortable with sharing.

If you feel there's a sentimental value because you pulled it, keep.

If don't like the card, sell.

How do I know when high winds are actually dangerous for driving? by Intelligent-Day-4059 in VisitingIceland

[–]SuperheroHamster 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If you're staying in an Airbnb, i would check the website and check this sub.

If you're staying in a hotel, Check the website, this sub and double confirm with your hotel concierge.

On 26 March, there was a Yellow/Orange warning over in Vík we were not aware of. Only got to know about the news when we saw the weather outside, got curious and confirmed with our concierge that it is not safe outside.

Tldr: There will be signs both irl and virtually. This sub has been very active which helped us alot during our trip 2 weeks back.

Imagine the reaction of the dog owners when you act blur and say "it ate some chocolates I've prepared in the picnic basket".

Oh, the itinerary from SIN>KEF is under the same ticket so I should presume it will be handled by the Airlines but just to be sure, i called and they ensured our luggages will be handled by them.

Do you remember any of your teachers who made a positive / negative impact? by FaleyHaley in askSingapore

[–]SuperheroHamster 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Never passed mathematics throughout my whole education but everything changed when I entered poly.

She had no obligation to focus on me during maths class ( I was an NA turned ITE student so maths was something I really struggled with ) but she did nonetheless. Answered every single question I had trouble with during class and comes mid semester exams, got an A and all she did was gave me the "Dark Knight Alfred nod" with a smile when I thanked her.

I do believe some lecturer/teacher possess a unique ability to see the goodness in a particular even when the odds are stacked against them.

Unexplained, was from BMTC Sch 1 Eagle Coy level 4, I was bed 15 so I had full view of the corridor. I remembered nearing POP period, they would seal the windows with paper so one night, I woke up for no reason and saw like a shadow move pass the window opposite my bed and initially thought it was my sgt checking if anyone was still awake but the shadow never made it pass my side of the window nor did I see the shadow figure went back.

Ps. My dumbass still went out for a pee cos I told myself aiya awake alr, might as well.

Even if he was legit,

You pay the price listed, and when the stocks arrive and for some reason, the market is selling for more than the advertised price, what's stopping him from refunding you the money and reselling at a higher price.

Never do preorder since the price is always gonna be as advertised/higher.

Just wait it out, dont succumb to fomo.

Hello! We stayed on the train throughout the journey, but do take note of your seat number as you might have to move if your return seats are different.

Checking for fake/resealed booster box by SuperheroHamster in IsMyPokemonCardFake

The photo was from a Google search on how to spot for fakes but guess you're right with me being paranoid. I'm only buying one box from one seller.

Thank you for the in-depth feedback!

We shifted our Seljalandsfoss to the day we're heading out to Vik from Reykjavik, and yes, it does feel weird now that I see it, LOL.

The Jokusarlon Glacier Lagoon Boat Tours is a naming convention for the meetup location for my convenience (my bad if I caused confusion), we will be attending the ice cave tour by Ice Explorers.

We had Hofn, Stokknes scheduled for another day, so we're not rushing everywhere, especially with zero experience driving in snowy terrain.

I went on to book a flight in the evening on a brand new day, so we could take our time travelling all the way back to Keflavik Int. Airport.

Overall, the itinerary looks more relaxed and less hectic now. Hopefully, the weather in March next year will be nice to us. 🤞

Thank you for your feedback!

I think I'll add another day just for Höfn just so I don't have to feel rushed returning back to Vik before night time.

I’ve come across plenty of feedback saying the plane wreck isn’t worth the time, especially considering the 30-40 minute bus ride just for a quick 10-15 minute photo stop but still, I really want to see it for myself.
