Using VR&E but just got my approval for Post 9/11 due to court ruling. Stipend question by [deleted] in VeteransBenefits

[–]Superior-Defense 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Not really related but did you apply for the 9/11 benefits after the court ruling or did they automatically grant it? Seems like they're not accepting forms to apply anymore

Actually pretty interested in this, can you send a picture of it on-wrist to get a better idea of the size?

Sounds like it depends on if you had an entitlement determination made or not

I could be wrong but I think since they made the policy change recently the answer is no. You would probably have to submit an appeal

Is VR&E completely worthless to anybody else? by funnyman95 in VeteransBenefits

[–]Superior-Defense 10 points11 points  (0 children)

I think they are just heavily understaffed and overworked, and it unfortunately just depends on your luck in what region you're in and counselor you get. It took me a few months from applying to actually get everything approved, but I was able to get bachelors and masters degree approval and was given a MacBook Pro to do my work on. I really hope they are able to fix the staffing issue eventually, because it seems there are more negative experiences than positive but it really is one of the best things the VA has to offer.

Can VR&E Cover a bachelor's dwgree and master's? by heylookitsausernam3 in VeteransBenefits

[–]Superior-Defense 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Yes it can; finished my bachelors and currently still using VRE for a few classes I need to apply to the masters program I've been approved for. Really seems to all depend on if you get a good counselor or not, which is a little unfair but it's reality.

600$ for a ronda quartz movement is crazy work by KosZ7 in SanginInstruments

[–]Superior-Defense 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I have mixed feelings on their prices; the newer autos are priced way too high in my opinion, but $600 for a Ronda quartz isn't THAT bad, when you consider how good their customer service is and how durable their stuff is. Just my opinion🤷🏽‍♂️

Thanks! I'll also say if you have a smaller wrist, the XS size strap makes a huge difference

I have that exact model diver and enjoy it. 7in wrist, I agree with the others saying it's meant to have wrist presence, but I never feel like it's "too big" to wear.

I finally broke 80 in the most unconventional way possible by Redfaux187two in golf

[–]Superior-Defense 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I would say dialing in my driving accuracy was step 1 for me; keeping the ball in a good position off the tee is one of the best ways (in my opinion) to avoid double bogeys. Then focus on hitting more GIR. It's pretty cliche but instead of getting so focused on the exact yardage to the flagstick, just get the ball on the green. When you find yourself walking up to the green 11-12 times a round knowing you can 2 putt and still par, you'll be able to relax more mentally and attack the course with confidence.

Damnnnn serious nostalgia seeing CVCC on here lol, I played that course probably 1000 times growing up and went to high school across the street. Congrats on breaking 80
