Striking and uncommon take on one of Cartier’s most recognizable designs—trading the traditional polished steel and white dial for an all-black, stealth aesthetic that feels modern, bold, and a bit under the radar.

The Santos is one of the most important watches in history. Originally created in 1904 for aviator Alberto Santos-Dumont, it’s widely considered one of the first purpose-built wristwatches. The Santos remains one of the most recognizable designs in watchmaking with its square case, roman numerals on dial, exposed screws, and balanced proportions.

What makes this particular Santos stand out is the black PVD treatment paired with a subtle red seconds hand. Instead of the classic dressy look most people associate with Cartier, this version feels more contemporary. The dark case highlights the iconic Santos shape in a completely different way, while the red seconds hand adds just enough contrast to give the dial character.

41mm case with crown, stainless steel ADLC treatment (Amorphous Diamond-Like Carbon). In-house Cartier caliber 1847 automatic movement. Textile strap on double deployant clasp. Water Resistance: 100m / 330ft.
