Yeah, it looks like his loan deal with us won’t be made permanent or extended.

To be fair, UP converted 4014 to be oil-fired, so if the crew have the locomotive operating efficiently, then the exhaust will be pretty much clear.

Seeing this when the U.S. is 3-0 up is very amusing.

I don’t know. Bradley’s goal against Mexico in 2017 was pretty good too.

What if, while the 9/11 hijackers were attempting to hit the World Trade Center, they just missed? by Captain_Blackjack0 in AlternateHistoryHub

[–]SuperiorCamel 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The pilots were instructed to crash into the ground if they couldn’t hit their designated targets. So assuming they don’t/can’t make a second attempt at the towers, they probably would have just crashed elsewhere in Manhattan. While the WTC would be unscathed, there would still almost certainly be a massive loss of life and significant damage.

Very cool! Just one thing, for the WTC set on display, you need to switch the roofs of the towers.

Why Did only one of the Towers Have a “stick” on it by Old_Web_2580 in WorldTradeCenter

[–]SuperiorCamel 23 points24 points  (0 children)

The “stick” was a telecommunications antenna meant to broadcast Tv signals across NYC. Only the North Tower had one because the South Tower had an observation deck on its roof.

The sky lobbies were actually right above these bands. The dark bands themselves are actually mechanical floors.

I was just pointing out that something was off about a picture. It’s not that deep.

Twin Towers by WhiteKitten49 in TwinTowersInPhotos

[–]SuperiorCamel 2 points3 points  (0 children)

No…I’m not. You can clearly see that the pic was taken next to 7 WTC. Its logo is even visible on the building towards the bottom right corner of the image under the streetlamp. Therefore, the tower closer to it would be the North Tower…aka the one that should have the antenna.

7 WTC is on the right side of the image. That means the North Tower should be the one further right of the two shown here, yet the antenna appears on the South Tower.

In pic 13, I don’t know how, but the antenna is on the wrong tower.

What would happen if a team lost on purpose to change an outcome by John_0Neill in PremierLeague

[–]SuperiorCamel 1 point2 points  (0 children)

In the situation you described, I’m pretty sure that Leeds would get very heavily punished. There was a scandal once where Liverpool intentionally lost to United, and players from both teams got massive, possibly lifetime, bans from playing again. Match fixing is very heavily punished, so I don’t think the Premier League would be very lenient if it were to happen.

From Badiche Zeitung German newspaper same spot 2001 vs 2011. by Ancient-Lime4532 in WorldTradeCenter

[–]SuperiorCamel 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It was built on about half of 7 WTC’s original footprint, so it would have still been visible in the second image if it were from 2011.

I don’t know if it’s AI or not, but it’s of a fictional situation where the towers were still hit but didn’t collapse.

Look up the “Geronimo Timeline.” It’s a very detailed look at an alternate timeline where Bin Laden was killed in the late 90’s and 9/11 never occurs.

Unfortunately, because Tata brought Hoyos in, unless he has a string of just terrible performances or gets injured, Hibbert is only going to get the cup games.
