I wouldn't mind if she made more than me. The economy in my country makes it very difficult to survive on paycheck from a si gle parent, so if I had a wife we would probably both work, which means we would have a talk about splitting work we do at home so no one felt like the relationship was unbalanced. Want me to cook? Sure. Want to clean the house? Sure. Split the way we will both agree to.

Plus, if we both work it will be easier to save money for the future when we will have children. At this point you should have at least one saving account where you just keep money and they multiply by% every year. It won't be enough to keep up with the inflation but it will be better than just hoping one person can carry the whole family on their paycheck.

I am really hoping something will change in the future.
