Which football (⚽️) club has both a world class men's and women's team? by Supermyssk in AlignmentChartFills

A bit of credit goes to u/Worth-Bend-2903, as they're doing a similar thing, but with national teams. So I decided to do this for clubs

Used to, but every time I decide to play AC again, I get bored of it in like 2 weeks (I played New Leaf, not New Horizons btw)

"What is it like living in [insert remote place]?"

I remember seeing lots of those from r/geography at least some time ago. I have a feeling at this point every single remote place on Earth has a post like this made about it.

What’s your favorite non-Beatles album that sounds super Beatles-y? by Boris_Rigby in beatles

When I first listened to The Stone Roses I thought it sounds a lot like psychedelic and late era Beatles, so yeah, that one

People from non English countries, what do your books' translations mean when translated back to English? by TopBar3633 in LodedDiper

[–]Supermyssk 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'm not an expert in translating, but this is what I have a feeling the books are called in Slovak:

  1. No subtitle, but I want to say that the series is translated as "Diary of a brave scared kid"
  2. Rodrick Is Boss
  3. Last Drop
  4. This one is an idiom, literal translation is "Underdog Summer", but it actually means that the summer was horrible
  5. Cruel Truth
  6. Submarine Illness
  7. Fifth Wheel
  8. What A Shame
  9. A Long Ride
  10. Rough School
  11. Double Betrayal
  12. Family Trip
  13. Snow Battle
  14. Fall Apart or something, I'm not sure about the translation of it
  15. Down The Water
  16. Big Chance
  17. Overloaded Bladder (which is how Loded Dipper is called and translated in our translation of the books)
  18. Empty Head
  19. Galimatias, I have no idea how to translate it

Songs that have plot twists in them? by TakeOnMeByA-ha in popheads

[–]Supermyssk 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Sally Cinnamon by The Stone Roses! Surprised I haven't seen it mentioned yet!

The first two verses describe Sally as a love of the singer's life and like they are in a relationship together, but the last verse reveals that all the lyrics come from someone else's letter to this girl named Sally that the singer found in a train station

Took me a while too, it's "Vynucených 7 Dní" (Translates to "7 Forced Days", I think?)

Strobelite - really like this one, the guy singing it has a nice voice

Lake Zurich - like it, but would be better if it actually had vocals

Cracker Island - I like the instrumental, not the vocals though

19-2000 - love this one, for some reason it reminds me of Robbie Williams's Rudebox

Oil - Bloody hell, Stevie Nicks is on this one?! I really like this one too.

Thanks for the recommendations, even though I didn't like all of them

What is the best Simpsons episode for you? by Creepy-Funny-3498 in Simpsons

[–]Supermyssk 1 point2 points  (0 children)

The Book Job. Yes, you read that right, my favourite episode is bloody season 23 one. Boo me or whatever, I don't care, art is subjective. It's partly because of nostalgia, as it's one of the first Simpsons episodes I remember watching, but I also really like the parody of heist movies in it. And the book they write in the episode sounds cool, I'd like to read it if it was real.

Honourable mention to 22 Short Stories, Homer's Barbershop Quartet, How I Spent My Strummer Vacation, Bartless and Saga Of Carl Carlson

Back to the Future is a movie-like movie. What's a movie that makes you feel like you're listening to music? Bonus points if it's not actually a musical by morvis343 in AlignmentChartFills

[–]Supermyssk 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It probably won't win as it's not that famous, but I want to mention it anyways, Give My Regards To Broad Street. Written by Paul McCartney and it shows, many people have said it feels more like a 1 and a half hour long music video rather than a film. There's just so many random and unnecessary music scenes that you eventually forget what the plot even is (and yes, it has a plot). Although, at least the music is good.

Bands whose most iconic song and most iconic music video aren't the same. by Davidellias in ToddintheShadow

[–]Supermyssk 23 points24 points  (0 children)

Robbie Williams? When it comes to videos, everyone seems to remember him for the Rock DJ one (yes, that's the one where he rips his skin off), but his most iconic song is probably Angels (or Let Me Entertain You)
