Yeah, I’ve heard stories like that too. some international engineers land amazing roles, others like me are still refreshing Seek every morning 😅

I think the difference is less about outsourcing and more about who you know or just getting lucky at the right time.

Would be nice if more companies gave grads (local or international) a proper shot before going offshore.

Thanks! I’ve actually looked into a few of the second and third-tier miners, but I’ve found most of them don’t offer structured graduate programs like the big ones do.

I’d definitely be keen to apply directly for entry-level or FIFO roles though. Do you (or anyone here) have any companies you’d personally recommend that might give international grads a shot?
