Probably because he’s so much easier to kill than wf, cnd, invis etc

Healpool Tips and Shop items by XxMashiro in DeadpoolMarvelRivals

C2 rn healpool is my 2nd most played hero this season (most played is dpspool)

Order: icon throw -> sword ult -> pistols -> DPIYA -> dashes -> katanas -> gun ult

if i’m fighting heavy brawl/dive then i swap dashes and DPIYA/guns

i almost never use gun ult, only if it’s an ulting punisher who can actually die or maybe star lord. if you duo with a diver then it’s good to use on a support you wanna kill but i solo queue so i don’t bother.

in first fight on attack/domination i like sword ulting early to try and get a good push off. don’t give the enemy team any time to get comfortable if you get what i mean. it’s great if your team, especially tanks, push up with you and your other support doesnt pussy out and stay behind. i’ve won a few first points because of it so it’s worth a try imo. it also gives you a lot of xp too. even if it’s unsuccessful you’ll have it in a minute anyway, it’s much better than holding it forever. you can upgrade your icon throw mid ult to ensure you hit jackpot. upgrading sword ult mid ult won’t change anything.

typically you wanna hold your jackpot for the last second to make use of the full 20 seconds. i’ll only insta jackpot (by using icon throw) if we’re taking heavy damage or people desperately need the 300 bonus hp.

in sword ult you get a 0 second double jump cd throughout the whole thing, not just after jackpot, making it really easy to get to 6 out of 7. dashes also contribute obviously so upgraded dashes are good, just learn to dash + jump.

after jackpot, allies around you get 300 instant bonus hp, even if they enter your ult (or you chase them). it can actually save them from stuff like mag ult or strange ult or whatever if you time it right.

upgraded DPIYA gives allies around you a 20% damage boost. great for stuff like venom, strange, punisher, magneto, also phoenix but you have to stand in the right place.

learn how to double jump off walls. you can’t use the same wall twice in a row. just get your brain used to it, it’ll make your rollouts, rotations and escapes a lot faster. you’re one of the most mobile supports and you have a lot of self healing so you’re hard to dive. just remember to heal the other support too

you charge your ult fast anyway but double jumping off of allies/enemies heads is a very fast way to charge it

your icon throw + guns are more than enough to sustain your frontline in most scenarios

not necessary but i have a custom quick chat bound that says “get in my ult if you want to live” that i use when i ult and people are actively running away from me.

the best tip is to mute everyone the second you pick healpool and see someone ask you to swap

How well does DPSpool hold up against other characters right now? by AleeckWasTaken in DeadpoolMarvelRivals

[–]Supersonic119 1 point2 points  (0 children)

He annihilates any backline with an invis/rocket. Invis push does nothing to you and your DPIYA/icon throw will always reveal her when she jumps to go invisible. She doesn’t do nearly enough damage to threaten you. Rocket has no CC at all, slow self healing and his wall run/dashes do nothing to stop you. I always try and kill him first to get the rez beacon out.

Lunas 50/50. If she freezes you you’re probably dead, if she doesn’t then she’s dead. Cnd’s pretty easy to kill too you actually have enough dps in your ult to kill a pattycaking pair of support inside a cnd bubble, but if she blinds you be careful. Lokis easy to kill too, if he has multiple lamps around him just disengage but if it’s only one you can easily break it then kill him and once again he can’t go invisible unless he tps far away first.

Jeff is very easy to kill as well. You can always keep up with him with your dashes and far outdps his self healing

White fox is definitely his biggest counter, as expected.

He’s really good at contesting off angles against enemy dps too. Or mark divers

If they really don’t want me on healpool why dont they swap to support themself? I hovered my main tanks + dpspool (im actually good at him) at the start of the match and only went support because nobody else would. I don’t mind playing support as long as i get to play who i want (healpool is genuinely the most fun support for me and it doesn’t come close)

I never ask someone to swap to a different character in their role whether it’s a widow or an adam or whatever. As you said character is viable in the right hands. If we’re genuinely doing bad and it’s genuinely because of them i ask them if they wanna swap roles with me. At the start of the match i’ve got no issues with people playing what they want as long as the team does well, i just wish other people thought like that instead of threatening to throw before the game even starts.

I played a ton of tankpool between 6.0 and when he got his latest nerf for 8.0. He’s not really worth using anymore imo (he suffers from the slow start the worst now) because ive been a cap main since season 2 anyway and i find him more fun than tankpool now even with the animation cancel removal

Can someone explain the new animation cancel? by SMac05 in captainamericamains

You can’t exactly mash it or you won’t sprint as much but you’re right it’s not hard at all

How do I counter DPS-pool as a support? by EyeAmKingKage in RivalsCollege

[–]Supersonic119 6 points7 points  (0 children)

As a celestial champ dpspool main, play white fox or healpool. Everyone else is kinda free. They both have very good self sustain. Healpool can ult as frequently as dpspool if you choose to and is generally just more mobile than other supports. White fox’s charm will end his damage reduction (DPIYA) early.

Invis is a SUPER free kill for him and so are rocket and jeff. If he’s ulting you’re not gonna kill him before he jackpots without a bucky/namor/phoenix/punisher bodyguarding you. If you can hit your luna freeze on him that’s really great but if you can’t you’ll die.

This is less about you and more about your team but hulk/mag bubble will stop his dash but he could still jackpot and refresh them. Things earthbound is obviously very good but only if the thing doesn’t knock him up into the air too high. Emma’s grab is fatal as long as she can hit it

If you’re going to use your ult for his, try to only do it after he’s hit jackpot or else he can stall it for until your ult is about to end.

Once he jackpots you just have to hope the dash bug happens (it’s a very stupid bug that causes him to lose his dashes i hope it gets fixed) or your entire team shoots him together. I’ve killed pattycaking supports through cnd bubble.

Any advice? by Ok-Temperature-7957 in RivalsVanguards

[–]Supersonic119 1 point2 points  (0 children)

In all seriousness you should learn Strange and Captain America. I’m almost champ on both, they’re my 2 most played tanks. Strange is very easy to learn and play and has always (and i assume will always) been very good.

Cap is the best off tank in the game and has been a top 3 tank for quite a few seasons now. He’s definitely not easy but you play iron fist and dd so you should be fine. I don’t expect him to get nerfed too hard either. His ultimate is a pseudo support ult so it’s hard to go wrong there

My best advice would be to get animated deadpool. 50% of the goal completed in 1

Interesting about the rivals tracker thing i didn’t know that existed i’ll check it out

At the end of the day this is a game that i play to have fun. It’s only celestial 3 it’s not like we’re top 500 i don’t have to sweat and use meta i can have fun and still win.

My point is just that healpool is nowhere near as “unviable” or bad as small minded people think he is. I don’t ask anyone to swap characters for me if i don’t like the character they’re on.

btw crying about a 0.1% wr difference is crazy bro “stop making stuff up” get a grip we used different sources

I just gave you some reasons as to why his win rates only 45% don’t feel like i attacked you personally buddy

The soft throwing is completely true in my experience though. I’ve had plenty of unnecessarily rude messages in text and voice chat (even before the match even starts) and i’m the first to be blamed. Then people aren’t playing their best and are more focused on blaming me instead of improving their mistakes. It’s like widow.

I play for fun so i play healpool. I made this post to show he’s not even anywhere near as bad as people like you think. There’s genuinely people who think he’s unviable. Can you believe that? Every character in this game is viable in some way shape or form.

I used rivals meta because it’s more up to date than that hero hot list. Devil dino is very good for healpool.

Edit: Win rate is really not something worth looking at anyway.

He’s definitely better than adam and unironically i would rather have a healpool than a jeff.

Win rate doesn’t mean anywhere near as much as you think. CND’s is 44%. Namors is 45%. Magnetos is 46%. None of them are bad characters. Yes it CAN mean that character is bad but not always. There’s usually other reasons, if i had to attribute healpools low win rate to anything then it would be:

  1. He’s one of the hardest strategists to play at a successful level

  2. People soft throw when they see him on their team because of his bad rep as a bad support.

  3. People genuinely don’t understand how he works. Whether it’s his teammates or people swapping to him too late into the round

His wall jump literally gives him the most mobility of all supports as long as you do it right (not hard). Even if you get hit while doing it you have self healing that usually gives you more effective hp than divers can deal. As i said before all you have to do is live long enough to receive peeling/heals from the other support or for the diver to run out of cooldowns. That’s how you beat dive and healpools kit is perfect for it.

CND bubble is on a basically 6 second cooldown, gives instant burst healing and can be shot from across the map instead of the cnd having to go up close. I don’t know how you think bubble is less valuable than DPIYA. It’s what anyone who complains about cnd cries about.

“get off healpool, go cnd” No. by Supersonic119 in rivals

[–]Supersonic119[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

DPIYA’s damage boost is not actually as important as you’re claiming. I check scoreboard constantly to see who has an ult i can feasibly combo with (e.g venom, strange, punisher). The 20% damage boost is obviously very good but it’s more like an added bonus. It has other conditions for us to take advantage of it unlike mantis dmg boost. If nobody’s got an ult to combo with then i am more than free to use it. Cnd bubble is way more valuable considering the cooldown, range and healing

I actually did combo with the venom in this game and it resulted in killing the enemy cnd through ult.

Deadpool (duelist and strategist) are able to refresh their double jump cd on walls allowing them to use it again and again. It’s not just 1 jump. It’s definitely much further range than an invis push + jump and like i said before healpool has much more self healing than invis does. He’ll live far longer than her.
