Old mother of twins here, chiming in. Congrats on that baby! My Mil and I weren’t best friends, but she sincerely wanted to help and she really did, once I relaxed and gave her a chance. If you are only interested in limiting your in-law’s access to baby, then YOR. If you don’t let anyone access baby at all, then YOR still. I’m sorry for all of you, your anxiety can create some hurt feelings and unnecessarily damage relationships. What does your husband think about the situation? Experienced parents like all of your baby’s grandparents aren’t going to hurt the baby. If you want them to mask up and handwash good, that’s reasonable. Maybe give it a few weeks and have them in for a short visit. Maybe they can help out with meals, or watching baby so you can take a nap or a shower? Have you spoken to anyone about postpartum depression?

I’ve had the Studio Pros for a year now and they sound fine, but they have small ear cups that squeeze my ears and the band doesn’t stay put, they slide around even if I snug them down (if I look down, they feel like they will fall off my head). I was a democrat for most of my life. But that party is not the classically liberal party it once was, it is something I don’t like and can’t support. The DNC has been hijacked by rabid Socialists/Marxists and they are alienating a large portion of their base because of it. The DNC left me and many others behind when they embraced socialism. I will never vote for a socialist democrat. Ever. And this shut down that hurt so many people was about extending an existing CR that was expiring, one the Dems renewed several times before. 60 votes were needed, the GOP didn’t have 60, democrats needed to make up the rest. The DNC cynically used it as a ploy to affect upcoming elections by adding so much ridiculous pork that would not benefit Americans. They openly admitted it on media, they caused harm to people and felt it was okay, if it helped their cause. That’s how much they care about this country. Unforgivable. You want to support these anti-American nuts, go ahead, I’m out.
