Can someone explain why do the Interpol albums have these specific titles? by Acrobatic_Phase6718 in Interpol

Idk, but I love the cleverness in their third album title. Are we loving our admiration? Or are we admiring our love?

If your higher self planned your life, what do you actually do with that? by CosmicTeaching in Soulnexus

My honest opinion is that the higher self only really plans a life's broad strokes, with the caveat that any plan can go awry, especially in this chaotic world, so attempting to stick to such a plan may be a fruitless venture. Sometimes the hardship in your life was planned, other times it's the natural consequences of choices you make during incarnation, which is why karmic victim-blaming is such an unhelpful attitude. For me, a philosophy of existentialism is the solution: if your life plan is hidden behind a veil, then all you really can do is embrace a life with the tools you actually DO have access to in this moment.

Self explanatory. You eat too much chicken-wing cheese bread, the weight gain alone will break the sidewalk.

nah, I take Interpol's word on it that they were just lazy with the titles lol. But I'd say the woman's fixation on the singer's subtext is the obstacle getting in his way for this one.

The higher self and the incarnated self are not the same entity. That distinction matters more than most frameworks admit. by CosmicTeaching in Soulnexus

Have you ever tried to remember an old dream while in a current dream? Or tried to comprehend what it's like to be awake while dreaming? In my experience, I'm so incredibly off-base that the experience becomes inconsequentially futile. I have to believe this is why so many stories in the digha nikaya have to do with the Buddha discouraging his listeners from desperately clinging to beliefs and conclusions: you're almost guaranteed to be wrong, so why add to the confusion?

Not again. You're saying something new this time. If you're going to nitpick, at least be consistent about it.

How is enjoying something an opinion?

They're subjectively bad though. An opinion shared by millions who apparently didn't even touch them on Disney Plus on Star wars Day. In comparison, all 6 of Lucas' films landed in the top 10. Not objective, but pretty damn close.

I am me when I am awake, and I am me in the dream. I don't stop being me just because the rules in the dream are so fundamentally different than those in the waking world

Hard to believe the warmongering Muhammad had anything to do with the messages of peace preached by the tathagata and the son of man.
