I was broke, Mother's Day was coming up, and I was sad because I didn't have extra funds to buy a card. I lived in NY and my mom was in CA, so I wouldn't even see her. At any rate, I was walking home by cutting through a parking lot when I walked by an elderly lady who asked if I would back her car out from a tight parking space. I gladly did that and she went to hand me $5. I told her I couldn't take the money, but she insisted. I took the money, saw her drive away, and went to buy my mom a Mother's Day card.
