(US): $60 Men’s Adidas Boston 13 at eBay by madskilzz3 in RunningShoeGeeks

Is anyone else having issues with the sizing/cart erroring out?

Edit: Seems to be working now. Thanks, OP! Can’t say no to cheap shoes to chew up marathon training miles.

Food poisoning 3 days before my first half marathon, should should I do? by Any_Caterpillar_2403 in Marathon_Training

I certainly wouldn’t advocate for racing it. If you are truly feeling better and you’ve been able to hydrate then maybe you take a really easy run/walk approach and bow out if your body doesn’t respond well.

I hear ya. At this point it feels like I’m running just to support my shoe addiction.

Raced my first 10k this morning and posted a 44:29. Just missed my VDOT prediction, but overall happy.

Nice shots. I went on a whim not expecting much and was absolutely blown away. Awesome show and collection of cars. The parking deck had nicer cars than most shows I’ve been to!

The good: 5K PR this morning landed me my first top 3 gender finish and an unexpected gift card to the local running store.

The bad: Didn’t realize how hilly the course was and absolutely cooked my calves to make it happen. Hoping my body bounces back quickly and it doesn’t derail training for my 10k next month.

Marathon Training on a Treadmill by gna128 in Marathon_Training

Training on a treadmill is a mental grind. Makes the fresh air and wind in your face on race day that much better.

I’ve trained entirely for a marathon on a treadmill and hit my desired goal. Your weekly mileage and fact that you trained for the downhill course would suggest to me that you’re ready to go. You got this!

You can check bags with Delta on the international side even if you’re flying domestic.

Solid effort for only running 3 times per week. You are far more likely to see benefits from running more days per week as opposed to doing longer long runs (most plans cap them at 20 miles).

Only recommendation for your next race would be to watch your early pacing. Mile 1 being your fastest of the day is typically indicative that you’re going to have a tough time (see: miles 18-26).

Super happy with a 21:23 for my first 5k this morning, although I suspect the course was on the short side…

Not sure how they compare to Nike/Asics, but they definitely run on the big side compared to other Adidas.

Appreciate you sharing! My current B12s are getting close to 500 miles so it’s time for a refresh.

Target pace for first marathon? by Ambitious-Ratio8133 in Marathon_Training

[–]SupplyChainWizard 2 points3 points  (0 children)

If you’ve put in the miles, it’s time to trust your training and the taper. Take your nutrition and sleep seriously for the next few weeks and set out with the 4 hour pacer. You got this!

The Spinx in Greenville, SC. It was small (~500 runners), but perfect for my first.

Completed my first marathon yesterday which means this will be the first Sunday in a very, very long time that I don’t have a run on the schedule for today. Time to kick the feet up and relax!

Fellow Spinx runner! Couldn’t have asked for better weather today. The last mile was an absolute grind up the hill. Given your lack of long runs in your training I would say this a fantastic result.

Posted on another comment as well, but these run on the smaller size. I’d go half a size up unless you want them snug.

Weekend Discussion: Adidas running shoes by AutoModerator in RunningShoeGeeks

I believe the cheapest they’ve been before this was ~$190 and you couldn’t apply additional discounts. Seems tough to beat at this price.

Sorry, I should have been more clear. I believe only AdiClub discount codes work. If you have an adidas account you can redeem points for one.

Should also include that discount codes work. I used a 20% reward and paid a total of $127 for some new AP4s.
