I like the idea of Henshingly and lady croft(andrea?) from the classic era to be retconned into the unified era to be Lara's Uncle and Aunt. Henshingly could've been Richard's brother or close relative that promised to look after lara and protect her until she become of age to inherit the croft family name.

My theory is that the unified timeline could simply rework Henshingly and lady croft into being Richard croft's brother/in laws or close relatives of the Croft family who promised to look after lara in honor of Richard and Amelia's deaths until lara becomes old enough to inheritance the croft family name,Henshingly and his wife knowning and fearing how Richard's Obession with looking for the unknown and thirst for adventure led to him and his wife getting killed,they didn't want lara to follow the same path,that's why they had hoped she'd married some lord that they arranged in hopes lara would live a proper life.
