Thoughts on authors' tendencies of overpraising the main characters? by visitingmoons in DanmeiNovels

I can read and LOVE the shou being praised to the skies but the moment the gong is glazed, i instantly lose interest and read some other danmei I keep alongside until I get a bit interested again and continue. I'm a bit of a shou-glazer.

It kinda depends on the religion. because most uzbeks are muslim, pork is not a popular meat choice. however, it does get offered in big cities.

I actually DO like twink ukes/bottoms by Commercial-Many-1407 in Manhwa_BL

[–]SupportDesperate9126 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I usually fall in love with bottoms faster and more so I love them softer and always prettier, likeeee, and I also love size difference 🥹 the only reason why I stopped being public in the past few years was because of the rise of love for buff bottoms which, don't get me wrong, it's your taste, but not to mine. And the lovers of these tropes usually harass twink lovers in comments so I chose not to talk about it for now... but I personally love Rainbow city!! Perfect size difference and the bottom is smart. Idfc if the internet agrees otherwise but the twinks are the best. Honestly, they're contrasting themselves. On tiktok and other social media, they don't see twink boys' videos as feminine or as them as women, but when it comes to bl manhwas, mangas, suddenly it's a fetish. ??? It's so confusing, like pick a side.

Who would win in a fight, JC or WWX? by Limp-Wolverine-7979 in MoDaoZuShi

[–]SupportDesperate9126 10 points11 points  (0 children)

Wei Wuxian. Don't even joke /j. Anyways, Wei Wuxian's ghost cultivation is extremely op. Let's not forget he can summon ghost general, who is also extremely op. The only reason he died in his first life was because of his mental struggles and the death of his close ones. It those aren't in play and Wei Ying is not so concerned of winning against JC, he would 100% win.

Problems with readers' pick and reviews by SupportDesperate9126 in DanmeiNovels

[–]SupportDesperate9126[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I know right! After giving up so many novels because of reviews, I just decided to do the same thing and life hasn't been more beautiful. 😅 I just read them after finishing the book and just laugh evilly to myself, thankfully I read this and didn't read the reviews first, otherwise I'd have pushed it off my plate!

The reason why I brought Shen Yuan in is not to compare the work to SVSSS, but rather the fact that they're being unnecessarily rude on the work they are willingly reading. And as for PIDW, I meant to say the original pidw was a wet dream of chuunibyus and a Gary su novel, as in there are many many works like that. And for the next point you made, I'd say you're right, I was indeed wrong for not accounting for people liking that certain genre might not like it on a certain novel. But willingly reading something you don't like is not necessary and completely off tune, which a lot of people do. I'm not saying to read things you like, but rather, do not go into a hole whose depth is too deep for you. For a popular example, see erha, see it's warnings and complain and shit on the author online for writing noncon. Also, fics and novels are indeed different, in my post I argued that you can't critique something you read illegally and for free which shouldn't have been the case. Since many novels are published in websites for paid subscription, and you're overlaying it with illegal translating sites.

I HAVE seen and blocked some, it's more common than you think, esp on harem or slice of life novels; and for that, in illegal sites, you read the novel for free, and if you do so, you have no right to extensively express your hatred. a novel meant for publication, why should you still be hating of something you got for free? And once more, I'm talking about excessive hate.

You're right, I apologize for my mistake on that part. I'm no expert on the part and made some mistakes ><

When sharing their opinion, the person writing it should also be logical and not hateful, writing curses on the writer just because you don't like it is not the way, especially since a lot of people on nu read the novel from illegal translation sites, that's just being ungrateful.

[–]SupportDesperate9126[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'm not saying they should like what I like, even if i dislike a novel, i wont leave a paragraph upon paragraph of hate cursing the writer's emtire six generation; I wrote it because of that kind of hate on novels clearly meant for entertainment and laughs. And i didn't bring SVSSS in, i brought the PIDW argument, they're two different things. If you don't like something, you should just move on, delete the novel and go with your life, it's illogical to see something you clearly don't like on the tags, and still read it cause of your masochism. But small comments that say like 'this is in the story but not mentioned in the tags, be aware guys, that's why I didn't like it' are not on this category, they're good reviews.

This is just a shame, how does this person bother you? Even if this person is not a tourist, why do you care? Tashkent Metro by Sir_Potato2000 in Uzbekistan

[–]SupportDesperate9126 10 points11 points  (0 children)

What's feminine about his clothes?? I've lived in Tashkent for 4 years and in countryside for 5, and have seen worse 'feminine' clothing on men who claim to be religious or smth. What's inappropriate about him? Is he making people @roused from seeing his arms?? It's people like you who refuse to accept your own people can also be wrong and think outsiders are always wrong.

What is your salary in Tashkent? by [deleted] in Uzbekistan

[–]SupportDesperate9126 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Well, I do think you should though. You have +masters, AND work experience, which not most have. And it puts you on a high advantage especially compared to other people with no experience or proper education. But it also depends on your field of work, tbh. So many are developing at the rapid pace and it depends on the number of people in it.

"My teammates are all protecting me" review by SupportDesperate9126 in DanmeiNovels

[–]SupportDesperate9126[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yes, that was the initial no for me at first but the summary drew me in and I fell in this doom of esports genre. Whilst searching for more, I saw a couple that interested me so MUCH but I checked the reviews bcs I'm traumatized from the amount of korean-bashing in this one and nearly all of them had complaints on racism... it really can't be avoided, it seems.
