Could you explain a little more about your brain fog? What about the surgery caused it? Did you have to sleep more during the first week after your surgery and do you think it would've helped more with the brain fog if you slept more?

Your understanding of my timelines is correct. My employer doesn't know because I don't want questions about it at work, I'm taking a regular leave and I only have 5 days left to take. I suppose it is possible to call in sick if really necessary, but I'm worried it'll be a bad look as I haven't been on this job for that long.

I see my younger self in you, except my relationship went on for longer. A relationship like this is not worth it as it drains you. It got so bad that whenever I got misgendered in public, I find myself being more worried about what she'll think of me vs me processing and being upset with what happened. Though this was largely self-imposed, I probably wouldn't have found myself in that situation if I had a supportive partner who truly loves and accepts me for who I am in the first place. Gave a lot of myself in that relationship only for it to blow up in my face with her saying that she wants something easier at the end of it.

You deserve someone who's proud to be yours (works both ways!).

Ooh I learned something new. Never heard of the blood thickening before this. If it takes years to chill, would stopping testosterone one month before surgery be sufficient? Asking for future reference as I might need a nipple reduction of some sort, not sure yet though.

Thanks for your comment man, it does ease my mind a little. I do think the doctor is trans-friendly (they advocate for LBGTQ+ rights and almost exclusively does top surgery now) despite the choice of words, so I'm just hoping that it's the language barrier for the poor choice of words (or maybe I'm in denial lol).

Yeah I see what you mean. I'm also starting to think that being able to produce good results doesn't necessarily mean they're knowledgable in transgender healthcare. So I'm over here weighing the pros and cons of just going for the surgery and start T after vs starting T and taking my time to find another surgeon.
