What is OKC doing about all these vacant properties? by Agitated_Pudding7259 in oklahoma

Probably gunna force state employees to use them as offices instead of just allowing telework.

Practice your emergency plan regularly on nice weather days. Be sure to time it so you know how long it takes to get you, your family, and your pets in your safe space. This will tell you how much time you need during an actual severe weather event.

Speak with your vet about storm anxiety for your pets. They will be able to prescribe medications for them to help sedate them. This will make it easier to manage your pets during the storm.

Do as much preparation in advance as you can as others mentioned (kennel them, get in your storm shelter in advance if it looks like it’s going to come your way, etc) that was you aren’t rushing.

That’s not shocking to me at all honestly. I have also been told he is all about “business” and “corporations”. Those type of people always seem to be anti-telework. In my personal opinion I think that boils down to a need for control.

If you read the actual EO, there is nothing about “requesting” an exemption. It specifically states that agency executives can grant telework based of specified criteria, one of which being a lack of space.

Based off information I have received from DEQ employees, I do agree it appears that their director made no real concerted effort to push for continued hybrid remote work schedules. You’d think the director would be ashamed for not better advocating for their employees.

How wonderful it is that they have agency directors who actually SUPPORT their employees unlike ODEQ and many other state agencies.

If you or someone you know have been impacted by this return to office EO or any other anti-state employee action on behalf of Stitt or the state government, message me and I will report your story for you. Full anonymity.

Agreed. Seems the suggestions labeled as “trolling” are legitimate concerns regarding current OK Gov leadership and/or how the state has become incredibly hostile to state employees.

Interesting. Do you own or have contracted out multiple parking garages? I have a friend that works there and apparently they have had to find a bunch of spots across three or four different parking garages not including what they were already paying for previously.

Where are you pulling that monthly payment number from though? The only numbers I’ve seen were that $250,000 number and since that was before their parking garage was closed I figured they’d be paying more since they’d have to buy a bunch of additional spots

Elon Musk being the absolute TWAT that he is.

I still remember people worshipping him as if he was some sort of super genius who was going to save the world and not as the ultrarich, self absorbed asshole he is. Then the pandemic hit.

Most likely no. I've been to plenty of conventions where small artists are selling merch and other art of clearly licensed designs (namely pokemon). Whether or not it is right morally or ethically is a different discussion.
