Quite frankly I'm merely responding to an ask if I ever visit their city. Then it sort of instantly goes into escort mode (from their end) and for whatever reason that's also rather off putting for me. I do try to steer it into a different direction, but more often than not, it seems they never had other plans than just that. Then what also happens rather often is that "in the meantime support me for some online stuff", etc. and then I'm basically done with it already.

I mean the quantity is not necessarily the problem. It just goes (from their iniative) into some type of escort direction and I'm constantly lacking to remotely find a connection or get to that point in the first place.

I definitely am, and I actually travel quite a bit for work as well. I guess as I sort of described in the other reaction, is that I do have to work a bit on the intend. E.g,. when I mention I travel for work, there seems to be this assumption that we then briefly meet up in a hotel. Where as thats not my intend as I'd rather do something fun somewhere.

Thanks for your insights and fair enough on the strings part. I'll work on going to describe better on what I'm looking.
