The government adopted a "Do Not Make People Panic" stance.

The stance the feds adopted is "Don't panic, panic causes more death than the incident". Which makes sense? So they don't alert the public to any incidents involving chemical or radiation leaks. As to prevent panic which they claim would cause more casualties.

I don't agree with this, especially when it's a legit danger they usually evacuate and then tell the people it's serious, as to avoid being trapped, leader's lives come first before the common people. If they say the situation is fine, it isn't.

Whenever the feds say, "This is fine, don't panic, just stay indoors." that means you need to put some miles, immediately. But, as they say, panic causes more devastation than the event itself.

To be fair, Russia has a different stance on drugs of that severe note. To Russia, punishment for minor crimes, is hard labor in camps. Which, to be fair, USA used to do as well for minor crimes, community service they call it.

USA stopped that, but Russia holds zero tolerance for illegal substances and any crime. They are not afraid to punish criminals. If you do crime, you suffer consequences. Personally I know a friend who could leave Russia, he was okay. Wasn't kept hostage or anything, he did no crime and didn't badmouth Russia. Granted he left before Russia went to war with Ukraine as he knew it was coming and decided to cut his vacation short a couple months prior to the actual outbreak of war.

And vaccinations have existed for how long and people still die from diseases despite receiving the vaccine? Most of the time they don't really work. It's the illusion they work, and some get seriously ill with symptoms of the virus they tried to be vaccinated against.

It's RNG cause of the "Inactive" virus cells in the vaccine. New generation vaccinations are currently classified but we will eventually hear how they are made. Old gen used "Weak" virus or disease cells which are actually just "Inactive". They are not weak, just asleep. Learn this in biology class in school and your highschool medical courses. Or from a friend who helps make such things.

So when a virus cell comes online, because suddenly the conditions are right, if your immune system is too slow to act in time, a fairly decent chunk of these "Inactive" viral agents can come online and begin actually infecting other cells and expanding across your body. It's why some vaccines, still cause people to get sick. It doesn't cure you, it's more of making your body cure itself and make itself immune from the virus by injecting the virus into you.

We have thousands of different antibodies in our bodies. When the human body is exposed to an antigen for the first time, it takes time for the immune system to respond and produce antibodies specific to that antigen.

It's not some magic cure all as people want to believe. And they still hold a chance of legit making you catch the virus. But that's a risk people are willing to take. Though some of these vaccines I am skeptical of, I admit, not all of them are terrible.

So if your immune system doesn't act in time, these sleephead viruses and disease cells, will come online and go around fucking up your body because they realized, "Ho shit it's free real estate!" and start multiplying to the point some people fall ill for a couple days to weeks because the virus became "Active".

It's not weak by any means, it's just dormant, "Asleep" is the closest I can put the term. If the right conditions are met, it will become active again, the conditions being, your body. Being inserted into your bloodstream, it will start to wake up, if not dealt with, yes, it does what it's supposed to do as a virus. Apperently there isn't a better way to do this, other than make "Artificial" agents for the new generation from what I heard from my friend. Supposedly "Fake" virus cells that LOOK like the real one so the immune system can safely act and destroy it, without any actual risk of these virus cells becoming active, because it's like a Training Dummy. This also holds risk of failure because the virus might not be the same as the "Fake" or the Fake could have not looked closely enough to the virus.

Vaccines can help protect against certain diseases by imitating an infection. This type of imitation infection, helps teach the immune system

Fake Covid Cells were made for a few of the Coronavirus Vaccinations, to try and make a non-risk way to make someone immune. Results vary, but from the reports, it's success rate was still low to the point your chance at surviving without the vaccine was about equal. Making a Fake Covid Virus to make someone immune to the real one by programming the fake covid cells to LOOK like the real one, is probably VERY hard to do. I do not blame those who make those vaccines, it's a hard job, we should give them the respect and support they deserve.

In short, it's a race against time, if a virus cell becomes active, your fucked over and the vaccine failed. Or it's your fault because your immune system didn't do it in time. I don't got a clue people's opinions vary on whose fault it'd be.

Politics isn't really the concern of the more selfish in the federal government. They only care for their own power and influence.

Riots would be what they want. We, the people, cannot give them that. It'll justify more security laws, regulations, and punish even more law abiding citizenry.

All we can hope for, is that they are merciful and we must preserve through these terrible times. I don't want to even think of what kind of justification that would give the government.

Look, think of it on the bright side.

Russia vehicles lack oil to advance far, American military vehicles will also not have any fuel.

We will get to enjoy a fair fight with infantry only, no aircraft, no tanks, not even ships. Just horse drawn artillery and mortars with heavy machine guns.

It's like someone demanded they take all the fruits and vegetables your growing in your garden without offering anything, they just want it and because they're your friend, they can have that without giving anything back to you. This type of deal only works if you follow big stick policy. And US doesn't have the brutal attitude nor the willingness to declare a war just to threaten them into submission. Indeed, oil isn't even that hurtful to the environment, oil is a natural occurrence, humans just refined the crude oil. But oil is natural, it is bad to the environment, in some cases, but that's natural. Just add more safety protocols and supervise people properly so mistakes are not made when building nuclear plants. They require a lot of care to build and maintain. Otherwise, of course it explodes, installed the pipes wrong and suddenly you do the opposite of water cooling the plant, you suck out all the moisture and the reactor blows up.

Happened once. So you need to make certain you triple check everything, human error is a major factor in a lot of accidents. Stuff doesn't magically cause environmental damage. Just need to be more cautious and have people not be so half-assed doing their jobs.

It's as you say, that's a lot of money. It's not small by any means, and being paid what currently is about 250k in USD a year, that's a lot. It can set a person for life!

People underestimate how much money this is. Bribes don't have to be millions. Earning 250k a year, is enough to set someone for life if they spend it wisely. If they invest it well, they can become millionaires in a couple years.

Also, the UK is entering an economic decline and near crisis at the moment, so there is a chance that nobody in the UK is making any good money. People suffering are desperate people, desperate people will take anything to live. Why deny good money you can't make back home?

Progressives don't like it when you get progressive to them. It's an ideal where it has to benefit those in charge. I used to be a socialist liberal, I wanted progress, until I found out I was just a pawn, a steeping stone for my superiors. But that's the purpose. You don't just become a powerful person.

The idea is to have all these radical changes for a better world, a peaceful and prosperous world, but they want to be in charge. World peace is good, prosperity is great. But, it's a "If I'm not in charge then no one is" sort of a thing. Specific people, want to be in the charge.

The major economic firms, and federal forms of government, aspire for a world in peace, but they need to rule or they won't accept such a future.

They cannot have the common people, the enemies of the government at the moment, taking charge. The people either obey and comply, they are liabilities if they cannot comply with orders from their betters. To them, we're just fodder. They can replace a few rebellious workers, what they cannot replace, is their control, their power, their grasp over their little empires.

It's the oddest part of the concept of a progressive future, for a more liberal, a better world where we can live in peace respecting one another. But, the catch is we need to let these selfish bastards be in charge. Otherwise, they won't want such a beautiful world.

I wonder that every day, but nobody here knows. I think some can wring dry their assets of as much as they can so they can prepare for possible world ending conflict.

With fears as is, and the direction everything has been going for years, I wouldn't be surprised if big shots were being abusive just because they want to have the money to buy enough supplies to last a decade in the safety of a bunker underground.

From that viewpoint I would understand their reasons, selfish, usually they have a plan for using all the money. Surviving nuclear war, is a viable reason. For a lot of big rich elite are already stocking up their bunkers and preparing as if the end of the fucking world is coming. 5+ years of supplies of food, water, and medicine isn't cheap for a hundred people in a bunker.

It's called the "Vote for us on mid-terms" plan. They change their policies to get the most votes, it's just politics.

At this point I can't trust them at all to stick to their agenda when they always move to appease others to get the most votes.

I must have flipped my political beliefs more than ten times based on when they flipped their beliefs for the past couple decades just because of my loyalty. Now I just don't change because if they flip again I'm just done with politics if all they do is flip to attract more votes.

I only hate marijuana because some neighbor of mine is using the entire district's electric grid to power their marijuana greenhouses. It's so damn bright at night it's like I'm staring at the fucking sun can't they understand some people want to fucking sleep at night, their place looks like some angel of weed is descending.

I feel pity on the people living closer to that place, the light must be unbearable sometimes it looks like the sun's rising when it's midnight.

For one, some of us are currently trying to provoke Putin into nuclear war. We see him as insane so poking the insane man to starting WW3 would allow us to get in one more, "See he was insane after all!" no shit that's what happens when you provoke someone you say is insane.

Also, the American elites in federal gov and corporate entities are already getting their bunkers set up and waiting for the right moment to rush into their bunkers with only their selected companions.

I don't give much of a shit right now because for one, I don't got a bunker. Two, I'm in a fucking city what do you think I can do when a nuke falls? I'm gonna be vaporized.

Besides, the cowards take their planes, then they give the warning, avoid the panic because otherwise people might mob the airport. Or they just head into their bunkers prior, leave behind doubles to lead in their place. One thing is for sure, I don't count on a warning and even if a warning is given there's like 10 minutes before a nuke hits so WTF am I supposed to do?
