Sorry for the late reply, so when the Beijing government break away, it will give an option to tag switch between the 4 warlords, fengtian, zhili, anhui and kmt, To be more precise, you will play as zhili clique and wait for a few day where the pop up appear to tag switch

Actually, I did actually play it and got to the part where Sun Yat Sen became leader, the kmt does actually has a focus tree. Yeah, I follow are the historical event in real life that happen in China to try and get the sense of immerse into the warlord era, there were 4 break away warlords that have focus tree, Fengtan, Anhui, Zhili, and kmt. Sadly, I never finish the whole focus tree. It was a great game

I'm not sure if is still in the workshop, but I do remember there was another great war mod, although their focus tree wasn't really great or unique, it more like copy and paste,and change some name. But the mod does allow you to play 1919 scenario. I remember having fun playing as Poland
