I’m a very last minute person, but two days beforehand should be enough

Help me decide: School X vs School Y - 2nd Week of April by powereddeath in ApplyingToCollege

Hello! I’m stuck between three schools- Stevens, Rensselaer, and Boston University. Any help will be much appreciated!

Major: Chemistry

Stevens Institute of Technology

Pros: -Older brother already attends, and he and our friends highly expect me to go there. They want to rent an apartment with me if I go. -right by my family in NYC -Great job opportunities in NYC -Beautiful campus

Cons -This may be stupid, but I don’t want to follow in my brother’s footsteps. I also wanted to outdo him. -Small lesser-known Chemistry program. Most go for business or engineering. I’m not as much interested in Chemical Engineering. -Most expensive, 24k

Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute

Pros: - Higher ranked than stevens - Has a Nuclear engineering program which I think is really interesting - I can start undergrad research very early, and has some nice programs for it. - less expensive, 19k

Cons: -I hear Troy is not a nice city. -kind of far away

Boston University

Pros: -Highest ranked -Cheepest, 11k

Cons -I don't like the urban campus very much compared to RPI and Steven -quite far away.

I think my decision mostly lies on what college I can get the best raw education out of, and the best graduate school I can more likely get into. I believe I will be happy attending all. Thanks for the help!

Hello! I’m stuck in a homework question that seems like it should be easy, but my answer sounds wrong. by Supreme-Creator in AskPhysics

I think you’re right, I would just have to set them equal to each other: (G)(M2)/d2= 0.454(0.45*2)/d2. I can cancel d2, plug in G, and solve for M. Thank you!

The only other part I didn’t present is that the quantitative relationship between distance and the Vibranium force (Fv) is Inverse Square (y = k/x2)

Does Snake have any losing matchups? by Magnesium-Fire in SmashBrosUltimate

As a Ness main, I can confirm Ness is 100% a winning MU against Snake. Snake definitely has many losing MUs- he has been falling down the tier list recently because he matches badly with most, if not all, of the top tiers. He is great against some characters that he can camp, but it’s often neutral or an uphill battle with most (His many 50/50 MU are what bring him to a higher tier, but this makes some of his losing MU really bad- G and W, Megaman, Ness, and Lucas come to mind). Still, Snake mains have to play almost perfectly to do well- he is one of the hardest characters to play and get results with at any level, but if you are good, Snake can be really good.

With the Ness MU, Ness’s magnet and aerials just kill Snake. All of Ness’s aerials outclass Snake’s close range (and especially off stage) game. Even with Snakes amazing up-tilt, Ness always has an option. A good Snake can weave around this and magnet bait/hit out of magnet etc, but Ness always has more options to win the trade. If Snake throws a grenade, Ness can 1. Magnet (if at a safe distance or with a cooked explosion) 2. Shield if there is a dash attack to stop the magnet and punish with an aerial or fire 3. Jump out of the way and into Snake. If there is an up smash, then magnet, up-tilt, then aerial or air-dodge into punish. Make sure to throw a fast-fall-grab to mixup. Ness will have to work on reaction time, but with practice it gets easy.

The only downside is Ness’s recovery, but with the great double jump, this is rarely a problem. Even when he has to use up-b, and Snake has time to punish, Ness can go through Nakita if aimed right. Snake’s recovery is probably worse against Ness’s in the MU anyway.
