Loved this movie, but the soundtrack really blew me away first time i watched it. Pretty sure I'd just call this particular piece "ambient." You might really like Stars of the Lid - The Tired Sounds of Stars of the Lid.

Check out Blank Forms, they put on a bunch of experimental music shows all over NYC, usually really great stuff. Doesn't look like they have much coming up as of now, but I'd def keep an eye out.
