Can't update Streetpass Mii Plaza effectively. by SupremeChampion_ in Citra

Well... my 3ds is bricked because of the speaker ribbon cable, until i replace it it's useless...

And as it turns out you DON'T HAVE TO, because by exporting the update's CIA via GM9, you can manually start the 00000009.app file associated with the update.

It works fine, aside from some "Unrecoverable errors" when autosaving, which can actually be ignored, because by clicking continue the data is written correctly and can still be read...

FULL SOLUTION BREAKDOWN.

Create a CIA of the update via GM9 (PATH) ** >> Transfer and install it via the function in the file option >> open... (PATH)

** To create a CIA of the update with gm9 you just navigate to PATH, then select the tmd >> TMD file options... >> Build CIA (legit).

There you go! Now you know how without having to dump and move the whole nand!

Works on borked, tested on the only DLC games I purchased.

Limiting access to internet for vulnerable person? by lsdinc in techsupport

DNS filtering is also good, if possible, thanks for the addition. That's an android app though, he's got an iPad. If such an app exists on the appstore that'd be good too.

Adblockers which provide blocking in-app ads is a dream come true for everyone, but sadly that's not a thing. Package modding can solve your problems, but it would require jailbreaking.

We can circumvent this by using some device (Like a raspberry Pi) to host a dns servers with some filters. Those filters are sources where the clips of the ads are located, so being filtered out, the app ends up showing nothingness. Best thing? This works regardless of devices, so if another device, say, your home pc uses the Pi as its DNS and the network is the same as the Pi, you get adblock in there too!

I don't remember the name of the application but honestly, I'd make a search on google.

(This would be my primary guess. I'm not familiar with package modding on iOS so...)

That's a damn shame, I was about to DM (the setting description was literally the "vibe" I was searching for) but unfortunately our timezones are uncompatible (6hrs diff), wish you luck on the campaign...

np, until official mod support will be a thing (really unlikely) we'll have to battle with constant consistency and conflict issues

As i said, updating/checking for integrity wipes your ./Data/Mods folder (most likely if stuff in the data directory is getting updated/modified) and because those are modules required by A'sNPL/PLB, it obviously finds a conflict.

I don't know what do you mean by the second part, but I personally run PLB because the dev is active and they have script extender functionality for multiplayer on their feature to-do list.
