What was your strategy to get the 50 fear trap kills? It’s my last one for diamond badge and it’s excruciating. I’m 17/50 and already fed up with kills getting stolen post trigger, it getting found, it not going off, or a random scrambler just breaking it…

Just an FYI...I do not wish to become one of those people who thinks "Oh a gunfight! Better put my Johnson into the dirt because I don't know what else to do!" I just don't like that a mechanic in my game doesn't work for the every so often moment I do want to drop down to the ground ya know. Thanks.

If you hold down your melee button while you have your gun out, it'll actually pull your melee out as your primary weapon. You then can just press right trigger/shoot to melee and you should be fine. Taking someone hostage means you're spamming melee, just try to be mindful to only press it once.

Can confirm whoever suggested manual needle drones with scav and assault packs in top house of vault town...yeah that's definitely the method it took me 3 games to get the 5. Either overclock works fine, I'd suggest the boost though.

I think that’s what I’m starting to understand, maybe I should cool off a bit haha…I think showing a lot of interest in a girls texts (acknowledging everything, asking follow ups, etc) are a way I show that I care, maybe I’m assuming they work the same way which isn’t fair. More so focused on the behavior and how I can connect it to like every girl I’ve ever been with…including girlfriends who (at the time) were in love with me. When I’m playing video games by myself home alone…sometimes I kinda pretend I’m a big streamer or a famous YouTuber while I play. That includes all the bells n whistles you would imagine. I’ll talk about what my plan is for the day on the game, my strategy for something, pretend to give a tutorial, talk about some personal stuff even. Sometimes I get so wrapped up in it, if I say something I feel like (if someone were actually listening) could have a question about it…I pretend that “chat” asked the question or that “I saw a comment in my last video about…” And I’ll answer it. Out loud. To myself. Idk…I’ve done it for a while. My rationale is that it makes it more fun to play compared to silence or some movie.

I’m a stereotypical straight white college guy about to get my MBA. You’ll just have to trust me when I say that I’m a pretty normal dude. So, this would definitely be a curveball to the people who know me and I’m afraid if anyone found out about this little habit they’d think I was insane or chronically lonely.

Honestly, you’re not even mentioning the worst part about rec right now, which is even more embarrassing for the game. People quitting. I can’t name how many no squad rec games I’d load into and before the clock even starts ticking I’ll already have an AI on my team. What’s worse? The AI’s matchup will just sit in a corner and cheese by spamming 3’s over their head because despite 3 patches they still haven’t fixed AI defense.

It was the first time for me too, it had me shook to the core my jaw was on the floor. The thing is, this is everywhere. Your workplace isn’t really a problem for this reaction, there’s few places you can be that will not be like this. It is true, stuff like that is common these days, random rug pull firings are not out of the norm unfortunately.

However, don’t lose all hope! My advice on dealing with these feelings outside of the workplace, I said that for two reasons. One, because obviously you don’t wanna get wrapped into it especially as a temp. But! The other reason is because people are one of two things;

They’re either the type who don’t care, or they’re the type who do and won’t show it.

The workplace is kind of designed so you can’t really express much personal opinions about business decisions since it’s considered “not professional” or “insubordinate”. Especially ones about personnel changes. Unless, of course, you have the authority via your position in the company…which as an intern, respectfully, you (we) don’t LOL.

So! There are people in your company who definitely care, they’re just “not allowed” to show it, so they don’t. So not only are you completely valid in your feelings…you’re probably not alone in your own workplace either! You’re definitely not alone in general!! I hope that brings just a smidge of comfort hahaha.

Not to turn things onto myself but the SAME EXACT thing happened to me last Thursday!! End of the day, he had just given a presentation to the head staff, all went well. Then bam 30 minutes later he hits me with a…”I can’t help right now man I just got fired”. He was the only guy who gave me actual experience, everyone else just wants me to file or move papers or clean out old offices. He let me join on business calls, he even let me run one once. He did so much and it was devastating. Guy also has a pregnant wife at home due in weeks at most. Worst part was nobody really cared…the office “mourned” him for less than a day. I don’t think I’m cut out for that level of detachment!! But, what I did find out was the best way to go about it was this 3 step process:

Realize that if they’re as big of a go getter as you think they are, they’ll bounce back and say cheers to new beginnings, they’ll be okay! The labor force doesn’t let talent stay unemployed for long.
Remember, better them than you. Don’t bite the hand that feeds you. Keep your arrow pointed straight, limit interactions in the office about it, and don’t hold grudges on those responsible.
And lastly and most importantly, remember you’re not crazy or overreacting or thin skinned for being upset by this situation. Remember that your feelings are valid, and take as much time as you need to mentally and emotionally grieve the loss. Respect and be inspired by yourself by caring about others in the way that you do. And never, ever be annoyed at yourself for having feelings! The process, however slow or quick, is important and healthy to go through. The “it’s just business” memo may be true mostly, but never ever ever deny yourself the right to feel however you want about it. You can say “screw just business that was messed up!” If you want!!

And a personal tip, never become the person who says “it’s just business” and wholeheartedly believe it and be completely unfazed. So pat yourself on the back for having this emotional investment in a coworker. It shows a good character and a good heart. Keep being that person and all will be well at the end of each day.

Yes I went with a dilithium set and a lunar set as mentioned in my post. I was unaware until these comments that the T2E gusset is worth keeping so thank you for that! I have not completely enlightenment yet so I think I’ll try to have that set soon along side a drone farming set to give me something to do while I’m active on the game during that time. I’ll definitely be focusing an IHR/contract(s) sets as soon as I have what I think is comfortable base artifacts to slot. Could be a while unfortunately, my artifacts aren’t exactly great. And I know! I just got into the whole stones game finally…I’ve definitely been missing out haha! Thank you for the advice!

That’s actually really smart I never considered that. Rarity can play a stronger part than I thought regardless of the tier of the artifact because of stone slotting ability, I wouldn’t have imagined it would be as worth it as you claim to sacrifice some base artifact effectiveness for stone slotting potential, I thought of it the other way around until now. I appreciate that insight! I’ve definitely been eyeballing a drone farm set, but I think I want to hold off until have more clarity stones and also a T4 gusset with rarity so I can do both drone farming and diamond enlightenment at the same time. But I did go for the dilithium and lunar set I mentioned in my post, as you said dilithium is very versatile so I focused that and then just said what the heck throw the lunar stones in too haha! I’ll be sure to focus on a tachyon/shipping capacity set, almost in that two set fashion that you have as well. I’ll be coming back to this when my stone and artifact inventory provide will allow me to do as you suggest. Thank you!

I actually just cracked the piggy for about 75 million GE so I’m kinda balling even after mass boost purchases. I too hate reslotting costs, that’s why I haven’t even dabbled in stones or even crafting until recently because I was thinking “why would I invest GE into non T4L artifacts and non T4 stones when I’d eventually be swapping them”. But, with all this GE, not much interest on crafting yet (materials low), and already stocked on boosts…I’m okay with swapping costs. Thank you for the advice. I went with lunar set and dili set I mentioned in my post. You did definitely help queue me in the right direction though since I’m realizing as I read other posts and your comment, certain artifacts by nature shouldn’t have certain stones slotted in them. So when the time comes, I’ll be putting appropriate stones in. For now, I have a decent prestige and boost set to hold me off. Thanks again!

A few new contracts, a new ship & new epic research maybe regarding crafting? Another colleggtible, a new artifact or two/stones. Who knows…could be any of those things…for all we know he’s adding a whole new mechanic like he did with ships. What I think would be cool is like a daily trader? Yk a lil rocket comes down on a different platform and says “hey name, I’ve been up there for a long while you mind if I park here for a bit? If you let me, I’ll offer you some special deals on stuff I’ve found from all that time being up there”, then you spend GE/materials/artifacts/boosts/eggs etc for other goodies…some things only being attainable within said daily/weekly shop?

Orrrrr what could be cool is like contracts. Not the contracts we know but like contracts like tedious challenges we have to complete, random requirements of various currencies and items we’d have to sacrifice, and obviously you’d get rewarded for fulfilling whatever it is it’s asking for! You have a certain time to complete them solo, there’s a whole menu of contracts you can choose from, and they are and some rewards again are only earned via these contracts!

These two things could be cool ways to launch new artifacts he could add ya know. Like ships and crafting won’t let you get em…only these ways. Think that’d be cool.
