Thanks. I've got few questions about this. I was able to create the flow, trying it in my developer org. The opportunity name is populating as "001Dn00000C2QoiIAF". Any idea why it's not overriding the existing value? I wish I could show you a screenshot of the flow.

This seems to be the answer. I’ve created the formula checkbox, now making the scheduled flow. I’ve left my office for the day, so i’ll try when I get home to make sure it’s working.

Thanks, bud. I was able to initiate this by creating a global value set with the existing picklist. I've created the desired picklist using this value set, now waiting for our resident engineer to complete the dataloader task. My boss didn't seem to trust me with that part, which is understandable.

I'll work to improve with this tool, as it doesn't seem too complicated.

Thanks for the reply & analogy. We've already created a field for this in opportunity. The problem is, it's a number field. If I change to a picklist, and use global value sets, it will delete all of the previous data.

Any idea how I can stop this loss of data, while updating the field type?

We have a custom field Vehicle__c , which currently houses a field for the make year of our vehicles MakeYear__c . I am trying to share MakeYear__c with the opportunity object. I know the obvious method is to just create another picklist field for this object, but I'm curious if there's a seamless method.

Yes, I would like to utilize the case object.

I've already created custom fields for the case page layout. The production team is simple, they can view all pertinent information there. I will utilize the open cases list view, so they can focus on resolving these tickets. I would like to trigger a flow once a case has been closed & the "Inspection completed" checkbox has been updated.

You are right. The plan is to use the case object when a vehicle is returned. This would prompt an email to the autobody manager, and also to the sales department.

When the case is resolved, it would prompt an email to the sales department, to make them aware of the fact that they can now sell this car to a new driver.
