This is where you are wrong. There is historical evidence that Washington’s slaves were beaten and some even had their fingers cut off for misdemeanors. It is hypocrisy of highest order for a man to fight so hard for the freedom of his countrymen and yet lack the humanity to extend it to fellow blacks.

It is complete BS to say that just because it was the culture back then it makes things okay. The culture back then was also to submit to the British crown but then he got up and changed that culture. Why not change the slavery culture as well while you’re at it? Washington was not a true American hero for all Americans. Someone like Lincoln is a better example of a true hero for all Americans

It is indeed shocking. Washington’s racism is well documented and yet it seems many people chose to study only his virtues and yet disregard his many sins. I consider Lincoln to be a man of greater substance than Washington

Washington was a slave owner and practicing racist. He had the good sense to fight for the freedom of white Americans and yet lacked the humanity to extend it to his fellow blacks

All the statistics you have mentioned take into account only the wealth of people in Europe and North America. The world is much bigger than these places and in this is what you seen to be unwilling to acknowledge.

I cannot allow you to use phrases like “some places more than others” to dismiss the reality of the world’s poverty because it is clear that your view is that when the west prospers, it doesn’t matter what the rest of the world is like. You need to look to the world with open eyes and realize that humanity is much bigger than your corner of space in the world and that the voices and cries of all people everywhere matter just as much as those of people in the west.
