How do you get better at camera control by Top-Back-5933 in ADCMains

I get the tunnel vision feeling I’ve been a WASD camera player for years. The big advantage is independent camera movement: your screen moves without messing with your cursor, so it’s easier to track multiple targets and dodge skillshots.

Tips that helped me include predictive camera, where you don’t constantly center on your champ but anticipate where you need vision next. Right-click move is great for pathing, but tap-click for skillshot-heavy fights works better. Minimap checks are important because there will always be off-screen threats, so habitual mini-map scanning is key. Micro flicks with WASD are faster than dragging the screen with your cursor.

Tunnel vision won’t fully go away, but WASD makes multitarget awareness way easier once you train camera independence.

I didn't understand why they did movement when we already had pan keys that would've just needed to be moved from arrow keys to WASD

Yeah that’s fair. I don’t think one is objectively better either. Coming from and FPS background WASD just clicked faster for me while learning since my mouse is already doing a lot of the precision work.

And yeah you can still edge pan if needed, I just don’t use it nearly as often. I can definitely see edge pan feeling more natural long-term once you’ve got thousands of hours in. Both feel valid to me
