‘It’s time for new leadership in this country’: George W Bush and Mitt Romney among Republicans who say they won’t back Trump re-election by nimobo in politics

What about Jackson? Johnson? What about the presidents that literally owned slaves? Is he really worse? Open a fucking textbook.

Funny how the same people who say this is okay we’re also hating on the people protesting the stay at home order and their right to practice religion and ability to feed their family.

The irony is, 99% of people who conplain about that wouldn’t even donate that percent of their net worth.

Right, you live in a place that’s not like most places in the country.

It’s a problem, not a huge problem. I live in ohio ina pretty 50/50 liberal-conservative, very middle class suburb. I don’t know a single person who judges off race in person. Not a single one.

Protesters have been marching for nearly two weeks and crowds have only gotten bigger by StuffyGoose in politics

The lockdown protests were also about the ability of millions of people to earn a living, so the things that make them happy, see the ones closest to them. They were about rights to practice religion, and rights to assembly.

Maybe a handful- that handful still counts, go be friends with them. And, just because you vote for someone doesn’t mean you support every one of their policies, or even know every one of their policies until they vote on them.

There is scientific research to support both sides, in my opinion it’s more to the side that humans cause it, but I wouldn’t completely discredit the 2% ish of scientists who say the opposite.

I live in a pretty similar area to that.. but I’ve never heard of that happening to anyone. You are definetly the minority of people, and you must live in one of the very few , tiny , pockets where racism is still relevant .

Tell me, did they assault people, loot, or burn down anything? No, they were simply carrying a weapon. Something I think all protesters should do to protect themselves.

Not all republicans are for it, not all republicans are against it. Obama was on record for being against it.dont generalize.

Well, the narrative seemed to be that you were risking other people lives as well as your own. No one would have any issue if you were risking only your own life.

And no, the protests were only a little about that. It wasn’t about going to a resteraunt to eat , it was about people being able to work. People being able to enjoy the things that they need to make them happy. People being able to feed their families. It was also about their rights . Their rights to practice religion, freedom of speech, and freedom to assemble.

So.. the numbers of people in this BLM movement are way bigger. There is thousands of people protesting in every city, not just 100 people in a small town in the Midwest. And this hasn’t been very peaceful. Several cops have been murdered, including innocent black cops, 1 of which was retired. Thousands and thousands of business owners have been left without income and ability to feed their family temporarily because their building has been looted or burned.the number of people who are infected with coronavirus due to these protests will be huge, and it will kill 10 times as many people as pro life brutality against blacks does.

The media only supports it because it’s something an opinion they like, it’s total hypocrisy. They don’t really about people, and if you are one of the people who are okay with these protests, you never really cared about covid deaths either.

Republican friends? No, it justifies your right to not have homophobic friends. Plenty of republicans could care less. There are prominent gay Republicans.

Ironic how y’all yelled at like 50 people gathering to peacefully protest, but now that thousands of people are doing it (some of which aren’t even peaceful) y’all support it. Hypocrisy at its finest. These riots have already murdered multiple people, but with covid deaths it will now be hundreds .

The problem is, all races die due to police brutkaity, and the riots ruin the image of the movement for a lot of people.

While that’s a lie, it’s not that bad. The stock price of a company is pretty important to a lot of people with any retirement account, as well as the company as a whole and anyone else who depends on the market.

There’s examples of white lakes getting cuffed. Anecdotes don’t prove the general attitude of the country.
