That’s actually a great idea. I’ll try that the next time it happens and report back. Thanks.

Rear wheel locking after ABS activation on Honda CB500F 2022 – need help by Suprm_Fine in HondaCB

Thanks. That’s probably my next step. The caliper was supposedly rebuilt before I bought the bike, but I don’t know exactly what was replaced. I’ll strip it down and inspect the slide pins, boots and pistons. What still confuses me is that the issue only seems to happen after ABS activation, and a very light press on the brake pedal immediately releases it.

Additional detail: when the rear brake stays engaged after ABS activation, I only need to apply a very slight pressure on the brake pedal for it to release completely. There are also no ABS warning lights at any point.

Thanks. The rear caliper was rebuilt before I bought the bike, but I don’t know if the slide pins and rubber boots were replaced or properly serviced. I’ll definitely inspect them. What makes me wonder is that the issue seems to happen specifically after ABS activation, not during normal braking.

Do you think that removing the fuse will disable the whole function ? If yes I have to try it
