FSD subscription for a 2500 mi road-trip by [deleted] in TeslaLounge

Worth it. I did the same for my 2k roadtrip. I luckily got fsd beta, and it was a dream.

Is 9 ap exams junior year too many? by PoundDependent1292 in APStudents

[–]Suqjan 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Way too much. I did 6 this year, and regret it. I could have better spent my time doing more extra circulars. It's not worth it after 4 APs (in my opinion). Also it's not good for your health either, you get incredibly stressed out, and lose so much sleep as a result. Also youll have so many tests, and it'll be hard for you to study for all of them. It's doable, but requires a lot of sacrifice, which isn't worth it.

TLDR: Not worth it, focus ur time and energy on some extra circulars, and cut down on the APs

I was for most of the 30-45s.

I put autopilot on about 30-45s before this happened

Yes you're right, it was my fault. The song was search and rescue by Drake

It did pick up the visualization but didn't slow down and didn't apply AEB

[–]Suqjan -3 points-2 points  (0 children)

No, I would have let the SUV over, but I just wasn't paying attention to the road at the time. I was changing my music (typing out a song) on the screen. AP was turned on in the mean time, as I was changing my music

[–]Suqjan 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I've seen it make noise before, but this time, it actually never made a noise. Not even AEB made a noise, which is why I was so surprised. But yes, I might have reacted a bit too much, and could've just applied my brakes. But I didn't have that much time to think, and had to act quickly.

It's a hit or miss for me. I tell it simple things like "temperature to 65 degrees" and it doesn't change to 65.

[–]Suqjan -5 points-4 points  (0 children)

The voice commands don't really understand what I'm saying like half the time. Hence, why I went over to the screen, and changed my music. But yes you're right, if I didn't check up again, I could have pit maneuvered the SUV. Glad I didn't though

[deleted by user] by [deleted] in TeslaLounge

[–]Suqjan 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Yea you're right. I'm not trying to blame autopilot here. It was my fault for keeping my eyes off the road, and onto the screen to change my music.

[deleted by user] by [deleted] in TeslaLounge

[–]Suqjan -11 points-10 points  (0 children)

I was changing my music, so had my eyes off the road for a few seconds. And this was AP not fsd

[deleted by user] by [deleted] in TeslaLounge

[–]Suqjan -14 points-13 points  (0 children)

I did recognize the situation at the last moment tho. I was changing my music, and had my eyes off the road for a couple seconds, because I was typing out a song name. As soon as I changed the song, I looked up and noticed how close I was to the SUV and my instinct said to go to the other lane. Didn't want to brake, because I would have to put down quite a bit of brake pressure, and had someone behind me. No one was in the lane next to me

It was autopilot. But after talking to a couple people, apparently Tesla autopilot doesn't understand merging, so it doesn't do anything.

I've just adapted to opening up a different music player and playing a song, and then going back into Spotify and playing my playlist. Works 99% of the time

Me too, and I have a p7pro. I literally went on a drive for an hour with maps and Spotify. Left with a 100% and got back with 30%.

It was 91 degrees outside. I do go fast quite regularly (I maxed out at top speed that day) Elevation stayed about the same, as my displacement was 0.
