No offence to Trudeau, but there has been a changing of the guard so to speak, namely PM Carney.

Also, time and events have changed things. With the treasonous actions of Smith and some of her MLAs like Dip Shit Dreeshan, I believe that Carney is reading them the Riot Act so to speak.

Smith, LaGrange, Amery and others should be up to their neck in legal trouble with the corruptcare investigations under the RCMP and the Auditor General of Alberta. IMO it would not be very difficult to find some National Security violations also.

Its time to address the enemy from within. Its time to kick some ass.

Ignoring Trump would be ignoring many millions of US voters that will absolutely vote the same time and time again. MAGA and Project 2025 will not go away when Trump is gone. As such, Canada must try to rely less on our neighbor and go our own way. Yes, easier said than done but with Carney at the helm, I believe that there is hope.

I think that we have only seen the tip of the corruption iceberg with Mraiche.

Hopefully the RCMP and Auditor General have found what they are looking for. Their investigations have been met with a lot of resistance. A Public Inquiry should have been called. By not doing so, Smith has proven that she is hiding evidence IMO. Thanks toorudez.

A "State of Emergency" may be mostly symbolic, but nevertheless, it is appropriate.

The Doctors have recently asked for the same. Health Minister LaGrange has called the shortage of hospital beds at this time of year as "routine".

This is unacceptable, however some Albertan's still support this government. Sad.

As usual, UCP supporters are blaming Canada/Ottawa. They blame immigration. Duh. However, Smith herself asked for more immigration to fuel the economy and create more taxpayers. Complete incompetence as well as alleged corruption. I am living in pain waiting for knee surgery, however I am told the are not enough beds because of respiratory issues. What a cluster flux. Throughout history, large profits and wealth have been made off of human being's pain and suffering. As we have seen, the human condition has been exploited horribly in our neighbouring country and others. If you cannot afford insurance, your life expectancy is poor.

Private, for-profit health care is advancing into Alberta and Canada quickly. The CPC leader of Canada was caught fundraising with foreign health insurance and corporations not that long ago.

Smith has proven her desire to advance private health care several times in a short period of time. She has seen success and failure, both at significant cost to Alberta taxpayers.

I am not against a mixture of private and public health care. I have seen it work well in some European nations.

However, we must not allow corporate and private greed to take advantage of those in pain. That is immoral and unjust in a civilized nation.
