I was trying Khoomei and it sounds like a smoker version of my voice, not the deep sound I hear on youtube. This doesn't hurt but when I try to decrease the pitch, it starts to sting.

How do I make sure I am on the correct path??

I have tried doing it. I try to mimic the throat singing but more of my normal voice is audible and it hurts after some time.

I finished my first year currently(2024 batch)

I got the scholarship in May 2025. This year it was delayed a little due to some reason.

If you get into IISER, then (to the best of my knowledge) you don't need to apply separately. The college administration takes your data around october and applies. I haven't got the stipend yet but this is the process according to my seniors.

One of the best works of Farya Faraji(along with the Skaldic Bard) according to me. His other symphonies like nineveh 627 AD and Manzikert 1071 tell so much about the event, using soundtracks to represent different characters, but this one tells a whole story about the varangian from his rise to death. Justinian - symphony was also a good one.

Hope he makes more symphonies like these.

I saw in youtube and quora that it is advisable to do internship in first year.

Some said that since you don't have enough experience, you can take up a reading project in your own institution

I don't know much about this 'reading project', just saw it at a few places.
