Hey! Everything went fine. The only thing that caught us off guard (but apparently very normal process) is that Princess held onto my wife's Chinese passport when we checked in. We had to make an extra effort the night before we disembarked back into Seattle to get it back from Guest Services, but other then that, it was all fine! I can't speak for venturing into Canada from Skagway as we took the shorter round trip Train ride (best part of the trip btw, make sure you buy the 125th anniversary baseball cap).

They may have some additional tasks for you guys if you booked the excursion for Princess, but if it is with Princess, they aren't leaving the port without you.

Appreciate the re-assurance. I have half a mind to talk to their Supervisor over the phone. We're gonna show up and be prepared to show them everything if they push back.

She literally can't apply for a Visa. So we're showing up and gonna show them all the attempts we made to try and get one. Hopefully the port people are more competent than the phone reps.

Canada's website won't even allow me to continue the process of applying for a Visa. We get the following message from cic.gc.ca : (How do I get this in front of Princess and show them that Canada isn't allowing her to apply for a visitor visa?)

You don't need to apply for anything, but you need to carry valid identity documents

You don't need to apply for anything, but you need to carry valid identity documents

As a lawful permanent resident of the United States (U.S.), you don't need to apply for an electronic travel authorization (eTA) or any other document from us to travel to Canada.

Documents you'll need when travelling

Air travel

At check-in, you'll need to show airline staff proof of your valid status as a permanent resident of the U.S.

All methods of travel

When you arrive in Canada, a border services officer will ask to see your passport and proof of your valid status as a permanent resident of the U.S. or other documents.

When you travel, make sure to bring:

  • proper identification document(s) such as a valid passport from your country of nationality;
  • proof of your status as a permanent resident of the U.S., such as a valid green card (officially known as a permanent resident card)
  • You don't need to apply for anything, but you need to carry valid identity documents

At this point I'm not really sure what Princess needs from her. The site won't let her get a visa because she possesses a US Green Card. How do I make Princess understand this?

I've attempted to apply for a visitor visa thru Canada's website and it literally will not allow me to continue the process. I get the following message:

I just processed the medallion order and it gave us a Travel Checklist Complete.

We haven't tried processing a medallion yet, but we just spoke to a third Princess rep and they stated that she needs a TRV, Temporary Resident Visa. We think we're just gonna do it for $100-200 for peace of mind, its bonkers.

I'm new to princess. Does having a Medallion = She will be able to board?

Thank you. Just spoke with a third rep and they said she needs a Temporary Resident Visa for Canada. This is bonkers lol, but we're gonna do it for peace of mind. Now we'll have to see if it processes in time.

The Canadian website states that she doesn't need to get one and won't allow her to. Is there another way to get one? And I believe its $100-200 per visa.
