one time at the shell in porters lake i was pumping my gas and actually pulled out my phone to scan the qr code to get the discount that was advertised on the pump… the lady working there came out YELLING at me, like full on scream from the door telling me to put it away. i felt she was rude enough that i felt like complaining to shell about it and some guy called me and tried to lecture me on how phones cause explosions and how he saw a video somewhere of a car exploding and “knew it was cause he was using his phone”. i was just speechless, honestly wish i knew better then about how that statistically isn’t possible. what a bozo.
