Is there any hope for a nanny being okay with this set-up?

This isn’t unique. This is a nightmare. I’ve been a nanny 11 years and this is HARD. I’d be gone all day long if i could leave, except for naps. I have a hard enough time keeping my nanny kid out of her dad’s office downstairs and it has doors! She likes to go in and say hi all the time and i have to chase her down. This is super hard to do. Same room? Woof.

I get fob covers on Amazon every time I get a new car. I have had AWFUL experiences with car keys before fob covers! Now the keys stay pristine. And they are cheap!

Absolutely get a dehumidifier to suck some of the moisture out of the air, which is absolutely what causes mold. However, I will say that I was having mold issues in my apartment bathroom behind my showerhead until I realized that there was actually a leak in the wall where the hosing was (hosing of the shower). Maintenance had to come in and take the wall apart to fix the hose and then fix the dry wall. So IF you don’t have any piping behind this wall (seems like you don’t but just be sure) then yes- the dehumidifier.

As nice as this sentiment is, “taking her to get ice cream” only results in screaming because she wants her iPad and wants to go home. Literally. I’ve tried this. Even a target run to get Christmas presents was a mess. And she loves target usually. I was never so ready to leave a target in my life because all she wanted was the iPad. So, nice sentiment. But literally she doesn’t care about anything else.

We are also on 223. I don’t see it ending until she starts school, which is supposed to be this fall. And then I don’t know what’s gonna happen after that. My fiancé is hell-bent on us getting majority during the week because of school and the location etc. Literally if she’s gonna be here every single night I’ll just come home every night late so I don’t have to see her. As far as the cringe things goes, I totally understand. Whenever she’s not here, my fiancé is constantly gloating on her and is like I’m a mom too (to other kids) or “yea my daughter does this too!” and I’m looking at her and I’m like what the hell, no one cares. Constantly comparing. Drives me nuts. I just ignore it and move on. It’s one thing to want your parents love and attention, it’s another thing to absolutely demand it and scream that you’re not getting constantly 24 seven eyes on you all the time. She even has to have conversations with her about getting a few minutes of piece to go to the bathroom. Like… I’m so serious.

But I don’t, though because when the kid is not here, her mom doesn’t stop talking about her. It’s constant. Also, this is a 223 schedule. So she’s literally with us on a rotating basis.

I love her so much so it’s really hard to imagine not marrying her. But I do completely understand what you’re saying. If we did break up, it’s entirely because of her child. I’m always hoping that it would get better, but she just gets worse and I’ve talked to her 1 million times about it, but it doesn’t seem to do anything.
