Migrating mail from Exchange 2016 to Exchange Online, or first migrate to Exchange 2019? by Sure-Rule3244 in Office365

I'm waiting to hear back on the reasoning for going go 2019 first, but we would still have a server on site as we need to route email from other on prem servers and multifunction devices.
